So here we go on my 1st ever openrice review thanks to my soul mate for pulling me here. Got a couple of friends telling us on how good it is so here I am to try it out myself.It is actually located in a rather quite place and the windows are very 'settle'. Once you walk in you will see a bright and modern dining area, a little 'different' to the other japanese  The menu only showed a total of 6 choices with 2 signatures. And of cause I ordered the most recommend out with even considerations - T

So here we go on my 1st ever openrice review thanks to my soul mate for pulling me here. Got a couple of friends telling us on how good it is so here I am to try it out myself.

It is actually located in a rather quite place and the windows are very 'settle'. Once you walk in you will see a bright and modern dining area, a little 'different' to the other japanese  

The menu only showed a total of 6 choices with 2 signatures. And of cause I ordered the most recommend out with even considerations - The ' Inaniwa Udon wit Crab Meat, Pork Meat in Crab Sauce'

While we are waiting the waiter offered drink list  and an other small menu of Skewer dish. I put those aside for later cause I was so looking forward to the main dish, thinking to myself I would order it later.

Waited for around 10 mins the boiling dish is here, with a rich crab paste coloured sauce and snow white Inaniwa Udon decorated in thin slices of red chilli . On the side is some black vinegar of your own choice. 

After mixing it all together with 2 spoons of black vinegar. The 1st touch was pretty disappointing actually. It felt like the sauce is just not as tasty as I exopected, in some ways, dull. The taste of the Udon, tho, is unexpectedly great, the 'cushiony' feeling it gives you mixing 'sticky, chewy, bouncy and smoothy' all together at its best balancing point. It felt like the Udon should have been left alone without the sauce. But then after a dipping more into it, I find that the taste of the sauce started to raise from the back of your throat to the point the tough! The rush of pork and crab meat all appears to have gone through the tasters and finally the crab pastes that thicken the sauce have caught up to the extend that it 'well-balanced' out.

The dish was becoming more appealing as I went thought and I felt like I couldn't resist since I was already so full. My stomach is rather large for its kind but this is actually filling me up! Suprise Suprise!!! And yes a coke followed up and there I was, filled with joy and a mouth full of crab paste's smell.

I did mention I was going to order the Skewer which I wished I had but I better leave it for next time. 

After all it was enjoyable and an unexpected experience. The mixture of both Inaniwa Udon and thick mild crab sauce has done me for the night. Well done Donka!!! I am surely returning with more of my friends!

P.S. Please do not hesitate  to put more black vinegar into the dish as it gets rid of the greasy feelings from the thick crab sauce. Not that's its bad but it would make it a lot easier to finishing it like I did.
