Please don't be mistaken. I do often go out to dine, it just so happened that while I was organizing my photo albums, I found these couple of photos without any people, just the food, so i may as well upload them here. After staying up to count down the previous night, we overslept and decided to have a nice simple brunch nearby as we already had a dinner feast. Regal hotels are always on the top of our list as being members, we enjoy a 40% off! What a bargain if you were simply looking for some

After staying up to count down the previous night, we overslept and decided to have a nice simple brunch nearby as we already had a dinner feast. Regal hotels are always on the top of our list as being members, we enjoy a 40% off! What a bargain if you were simply looking for somewhere comfortable to sit. I have to admit, their services were as if decent hotels but the food was simply not for quality savouring. (I have been to the one in shatin, kowloon city, airport, it's only by mere luck that a dish or so could be classified as 5*)

For this one in Kowloon City, they usuallly serve buffet in the basement but I guess it was new year and in order to serve more customers, they moved the area to the top level. Not much of a view either.

To freshen up ourselves for the morning/noon, I started off with a bowl of salad, it was fresh, pass!

I would have expected more seafood for a lunch buffet, but since it was not that food that we were aiming, I'll simply accept what was offered. Only sushi, sorry no sashimi.

I don't think they serve customized pasta on regular occasions. Al dente!! Both saucing was creamy and rich, not much ingredient except from the usual mushrooms, bacon, onions etc. To my knowledge, both sauce was homemade, right proportion of herbs and cheese, not oily and definitely not overcooked since it was made on-site. Believe it or not, since each portion was just 1/4 of a regular dish, I encored both saucing and to me, the classic spaghetti carbonara made the best combination. There were only a limited hot dishes as well but fortunately were up to average. I have encountered worse in some other hotels in hong kong.

The desserts were somewhat a great disappointment, I would have expected at least a rich cheesecake to brighten up the day(the year in fact!), but nope sorry. There were jellies of all kind of colours, chocolate/mango mousse, caramel pudding(quite good), some fruits(the melons were most likely added with sugar..) etc and a pancake machine for you to play with although I saw a number of customers not knowing how to use it; as well as children messing around while it was processing, causing a waste of the mixture...nestle icecream(one scope was enough, got to save quota for the worthwhile ones)

Overall, still a pleasant dining experience. Without high hopes, there will not be disappointment! Clean, quiet environment with polite waiters, can sit for as long as you want, inexpensive, and it was a hotel afterall!
