Finally have time to type the father's day article. For father's day, of course I have to order a bottle of beer for daddy but then I guess I will have to drive tonight :sWe then ordered a salad for sharing. We then ordered a salad for sharing. The greens are fresh and healthy with a lot of nutrients. The portion size was okay although a bit small to share among a big group of friends or families.
Soup - didn't try this soup as I was not too into hot soup during this hot weather but my family said it's creamy and rich, a great way to fill you up if you are hungry!
Then we have also ordered this steak which I highly recommend you to order. The steak is kept warm on a heated pan while the fries is very crunchy with a nice truffle taste. The grilled steak has a powerful smoky flavour and it went really well with the softened grilled garlic served on the side. It was just basic but it had everything I needed in a piece of good beef.
Lobster linguineAgain, I am encoring this dish because it's just good. The pasta was not the super gourmet level but they still managed to cook it until el dente and the lobster had a good seafood taste with a bit of caviar on top to intensify the sea water flavour, complimenting with the savoury flat linguine pasta. A few pieces of halved cherry tomatoes counterbalanced with the savoury taste, just a great sharing dish during any gathering.
Though I am not a fish person, I have also ordered this baked sea bass to share with my family because mummy loves fish. The delicate piece of sea bass is baked with lemon, while the parchment paper kept the moisture in the fish!
Clams was not bad too with a plumped fresh texture and just the right amount of sea water taste, with just a right amount of herbs to go with the taste of this seafood dish.
Then it comes to our baked chicken. It was surprisingly big in size. The meat was not too dry but it certainly can be a bit more tender to my liking. The seasoning was pretty bold, I believe that's based on the size of the chicken otherwise the meat in the inner part is going to be pretty bland.
Lastly, it came to our dessert to share, profiterole! Small cute pieces of profiteroles are filled with fresh custard cream and drizzled with just a bit of chocolate sauce. Indulging is only for important days and my dad is definitely important to me and to my family!
