Sergent Kitchen is often found at every Food Republic food court. Wnenever I'm there, I usually choose this place as it's consistent. Not too bad yet not remarkably memorable. Much to my surprise when I found they had an actual dine in restaurant in Yoho Mall. The menu here is more extensive than the food court but they still have the basics. I had the Hainanese Chicken Rice ($48). What I usually order at their food court versions. And what do you know? Exactly like the food court. I appreciate the consistency. There was flavor. The chicken was moist. Portion size was decent. There was also an egg with a gooey sauce I wasn't too fond of.
Boyfriend had the Fish Ball Laksa ($44). This was not too spicy at all. The fish balls were firm with a good amount of bounce. The noodles weren't too soggy.
Tea time price is great value. And much like their food court version, just consistent. Definitely good for tea time.
