The service was absolutely horrendous on a number of levels. Level 1: First, when I arrived, I went to the bathroom and my wife took her seat. She was introduced to our first waitress, who took my wife's dinner order and left before I arrived. (also, the bathroom had no paper towels and no hand dryer)Level 2: When I returned to the table, the second of our (eventually) four waitresses arrived at the table. Level 1: First, when I arrived, I went to the bathroom and my wife took her seat. She was introduced to our first waitress, who took my wife's dinner order and left before I arrived. (also, the bathroom had no paper towels and no hand dryer)
Level 2: When I returned to the table, the second of our (eventually) four waitresses arrived at the table. We gave her our drink order and asked her to return in a couple of minutes to take our order. Our drinks, mine was a Whiskey Sour, took at least 15 minutes to arrive.
Level 3: A couple of minutes after our drink order was put in (and before it arrived) our third waitress arrived to take our dinner order. Its also worth mentioning that no one gave their names at any point. We order a snack as a starter and each of us ordered a main course. About 10 minutes later my wife received her meal. 10 minutes after that we received the appetizer that should have come out first and 20 minutes after that I received my main course. No restaurant I have ever been in has delivered main courses, to a party of two, a half hour apart. In case you were wondering, I ordered a salad so I don't think it had to do with required prep time.
Level 4: About 30 minutes after I received my meal (so well over an hour after we arrived), the first waitress, which took a meal order from my wife while I was in the bathroom (never to return again until now) showed up with that dish. While I found the timing to be absurd, we calmly explained that while we would pay for the dish (given my wife did order it) we did not want to eat it as we were full and were headed to a party afterwards, and so did not want to take the food away. At this point, the waitress began to openly yell at my wife, repeatedly pointing to the security camera and asking her if she would like to see the tape of her ordering the dish! She became so loud that multiple waitresses came over to the table to see what the commotion was about. At no point did we ask for a refund but eventually the manager came over and took the dish off of our bill, which was nice, but not the point.
When I was younger I was a waiter so I generally have an endless amount of patience for wait staff as I know how frustrating it can be to deal with some customers. However, I am a customer, and I do not expect to watch as my wife is berated by a deranged waitress who needed a team of people to deliver our three dishes and two drinks in possibly the worst order imaginable. Do yourself a favor and pick a different restaurant!
