Me and my family were planning to visit this restaurant for an afternoon tea. At 1530, before we went into the cafe, none of the staff was approaching to arrange seat. One of us went in to notify staff, staff said seat will be arranged only if waiting at the entrance before my family told him we would like table of 10. Anyhow, we were all waiting at the entrance. For the reason that no menu was displaying out, one of us was suggesting to read the menu before dining in so that to save the time reading and passing around the menu (which 4-5 menu were served for our last 10 people visit). One of us then took the menu which was placing out on the table beside the entrance which was opposite the first table with customers.
One of the staff came immediately shouting to my family claiming what she did has created a disturbance to the clients and it was unacceptable, while the clients didn't even notice the menu placing on table opposite them was being taken. My family member responded politely that if this has created a disturbance she will apologise immediately while the customers were still enjoying their meal without noticing what happened. Your staff continued yelling to us saying he thinks this is a disturbance and he is the manager so he has to deal with us. My family member asked him to calm down and stopped yelling. He continued shouting we aren't even dining in yet, so we aren't the customers and he doesnt need to serve us (complete sentence in Chinese he said would be 你而家未入黎你地都唔系我客，我唔洗serve你).
I wasn't involved in this incident as I was standing nearby waiting for the table witnessing the whole scene. I approached and told your staff we, 10 of us will not be dining here anymore and no service will be needed from you from this moment onwards. We all left by then.
Staff who claimed as the restaurant manager, is rude and disrespectful with such attitude.
We all will never visit this restaurant ever again.
