Rice Love is such an amazingly popular place now that it's quite hard to get seats on a normal lunchtime due to their cheap lunches with quality and quantity portions. After waiting for several minutes, we finally had a chance to sit down for a very filling lunch. We first ordered the Fried Rice Cake with Cheese and Korean Ramen ($50). After waiting for several minutes, we finally had a chance to sit down for a very filling lunch. We first ordered the Fried Rice Cake with Cheese and Korean Ramen ($50). The dish is served to your table sizzling hot as the waitress adds the cheese, noodles and rice cake and mix them together. The amount of cheese was extremely generous, perfect for any cheese lovers! I absolutely adored this dish and would definitely order it again!
The next thing that we ordered is the snack platter, which is such a good bargain at $44. It has so many different things on the plate, including fried squid rings, buffalo wings and a huge portobello mushroom. It's actually extremely filling and I felt that there were too many fried things on the platter, but the quality was pretty decent and not too oily.
Lastly, we ordered the Grilled Baby Pork Ribs Cheese Pot ($110). I felt that this was probably one of the most creative and best of both worlds dishes you can find. For meat lovers, the ribs are just perfecly grilled. Although the meat was a bit too soft for my liking, the seasoning was great. The winner for me, though, was the cheese pot. Although it didn't have as much cheese as the previous dish, the macaronis were so delicious and the soup base was flavourful and just cheesy enough, without being overpoweringly so. This, for me was the best dish of the meal.
We also ordered a drink to accompany the meal, which was the signature Green Apple Lychee Mint Greentea ($30), which in fact did taste very refreshing and minty.
