Mozy Cafe & Bar is a new restaurant that opened in Causeway Bay that I noticed as I was hopping on the mini bus home. Interested, I decided to come here for lunch. The restaurant is spacious enough with sweet design. The restaurant is spacious enough with sweet design. The only gripe was the tables were oval shaped and that made it feel a bit cramped when eating.
Menu is in English and Chinese. Apparently they are serving Japanese inspired Western food. As it was lunch time, they offered a lunch set menu. This included a soup or salad, coffee or tea and a main.
They also have a la carte where drinks are 50% off. But as it was the holidays, they had a special promotion to change this into a set but adding $35. I decided to go with this option.
It also has a very extensive selection and variety of coffee.
I decided on a latte. Beautiful latte art but unfortunately, the coffee wasn't too good. The coffee was a bit weak in taste though the temperature was fine.
The set comes with a daily soup or salad. The soup of the day was cream of pumpkin. It tasted quite good. Very rich and sweet. Extremely creamy.
For the main I chose the Spaghetti with Angentine Red Prawn ($168). I don't know if Angentine is a typo that is meant to be Argentinian?? But none the less, there were two of them. Not too meaty at all so I'm unsure if these are Argentinan red prawn as they are usually much meaty and firm. Despite that, the food was delicious. The pasta was al dente. The pesto was well seasoned and fragrant. There was some anchovy paste on the prawn and after mixing it with the pasta, it made the pesto taste even better.
The food was delicious and the place has potential. Just won't order coffee I guess? But otherwise, would probably be back.
