Was looking for a decent lunch in Wan Chai and found Shang BB Love Mr. Kon & Mrs. Wu at the previous Kanizen location. What actually attracted me was the stewed soup that was included in the lunch set.Pork herbal soup was heated on a fire that kept its temperature for the entire meal. Clear and sweet meat broth. I requested no rice because of my diet. Good portion. The chicken was delicious - bones were still pinkish, tender meat, smooth and bouncy skin. Aromatic Shaoxing wine sauce.
Stir-fried Hor Fun with Angus Beef
Freshly fried, served pipping hot. Moist rice noodles fried with savory dark soy sauce. Unlike the velvety tenderized beef used in other restaurants, the Angus beef was nicely marinated and maintained a good texture.
Pickled radish and carrot were crunchy and slightly sour. Great for neutralizing in between dishes.
Dessert was a tropical treat - pandan coconut jelly, fragrant but not too sweet.
Comfy and spacious seats. Prompt service. Perfect place for a proper Chinese meal!
