You've heard all about it...the rivalry in the magnificent world of frozen yogurt. As frozen yogurt hit Hong Kong this year, the debate has been intense: Yogo? And today, I've reached a judgement. It has to be crumbs.
First of all, it might be that I find many frozen yogurt stores to be much too heavy, and to me, toppings are key to a good froyo, so many stores actually do not appeal to me. In short, I am hard to impress, in terms of yogurt.
However, to me, crumbs was near perfect. We ordered a large yogurt with house crumbs and green tea mochi. WOW. The yogurt was of a perfect consistency. It was light enough for you to finish the entire cup, yet it had the acidic, sour yogurt taste that clung to your palette long after you're finished. Most of all, it melted enough to urge you to finish the cup quickly!
And now to the crumbs. The house crumbs, which is essentially biscuit crumbs mixed with some sugar and cinnamon, is perfect for yogurt. It blends well with the yogurt, yet doesn't rob the dessert of its natural flavors. Best yet, it compliments any other toppings well.
Know this, I am back for more.
