I loveeeeeeee to eat Hong Kong local street foods.Egg puff is one of my favourites.I will try egg puffs of tuck shops across different districts to try to locate the tastiest one.Today I gonna try one of the well known shops called''媽咪雞蛋仔'' aka ''Mummy's egg puff'' which is a chain with branches across different places.I cross the branch located Mong Kok (very near to both Yau Ma Tei & Mong Kok MTR stations, 5 mins walk)frequently but never try once.So I decide to find out what it taste like.The

Today I gonna try one of the well known shops called''媽咪雞蛋仔'' aka ''Mummy's egg puff'' which is a chain with branches across different places.
I cross the branch located Mong Kok (very near to both Yau Ma Tei & Mong Kok MTR stations, 5 mins walk)frequently but never try once.So I decide to find out what it taste like.There are 6 different flavours which provided all the time such as green tea red bean,pork floss with sesame,original,chocolate,red bean and sesame.
Moreover,there are flavours which only provide seasonally.At that time,fresh green & red apple,banana,Korean salted seaweed and corn are provide as summer specials.
I chose the chocolate one which costs HKD$19.As all the puffs and waffles are cooked to order,customers have to take time to wait til the food they ordered are cooked.
I have to wait 15 mins for the puff even I queued as first customer to serve.You better worthy for me to wait for that long!
It turned out didn't let me down.Since it's cooked to order,it steaming hot and fresh.Its crispy and crunchy outside,chewy and bouncy in the inside. Its size also larger than the normal one.
However,it's a bit too sweet for me(maybe is personal preference,I'm not a sweet tooth).Also,the chocolate chips are complete melt inside the puff.The chocolate chips quite small amount.It will be better if the chips are partial melt and more are added.Overall,it is not the best that i had tried but better and tastier than many shops.
If you look for fresh egg puff or waffle which cooked for order rather than already cooked one,''Mummy's egg puff'' maybe is one of your options.But it needs to keep up in order to race against rivals in the intense competition street food industry.
Bear in mind,the shop open at noon(12pm) everyday.张贴
