While walking past The Point, we were attracted by their Christmas set, which was in seafood cheese fondue. It was located at Martime Square, just beside Tsing Yi MTR.Seafood cheese fondue was priced at $788 for 2 person, in generous portion. Pomegranate and lemon iced tea - It was very cooling and refreshing, with strong pomegranate taste and slight lemon flavour.
We topped up $28 to upgrade to lobster bisque. It was creamy and thick in texture, with strong lobster taste and flavourful. There were lobster meat in it, which were juicy and fresh.
We topped up $38 for additional serving of smoked salmon. The chef was generous with the portion of smoked salmon, which were chewy and fatty in texture. Caesar salad was crunchy and fresh, with shredded cheese enhancing the taste.
The chef was generous with the portion of cheese fondue, which was enough for us to dip with 2 baskets of baguette and those seafood and vegetables. It used mainly Swiss cheese, which was boiled till thick in texture and cheesy, very flavourful. French baguette was refillable, and toasted till very soft and crispy, going well with the cheese.
It was presented in a 2-tier tray, with the seafood platter placed on the upper tray. It consisted of whole Boston lobster, baby abalone, scallops, prawns and mussels. They were chewy and served cold, and it enhanced the taste of those seafood when dipped with melting cheese.
There were alot of seasonal vegetables in it such as cauliflower, cucumbers, sweet potato, potato, shell pasta and cherry tomatoes etc. They were juicy and fresh, very filling.
We topped up $48 for s'mores chocolate fondant. It was perfect for chocolate lovers, which have very strong chocolate taste. It was baked till the edges was crispy and when cut open, the lava came flowing out and was thick in texture and creamy.
