I gave Joy Hing two tries before posting, in case the first time was a fluke. The sauce on the table is a good complement to the otherwise wet rice, which other reviewers have pointed out. So yes, the rice isn't as good as can be, but the char siu is, scrumptious. I always ask for the fatty char siu, even if it sends my cholesterol through the roof. Then again, I don't have it every day, just when I get a craving!
With change to spare, I got a nice cold tea from GongCha next door. Cheap, fast lunch that hits the spot, I will miss Joy Hing when I have to go back to London!
