Back to work after a long weekend. Although it was Monday blue, we still need a good lunch to cheer ourselves up. The venue for lunch this time was Cafe Paradise in Prince Edward! It was a revisit as their lunch sets were really super great deals. We were quickly seated and it was full house after we had finished lunch. Each table was partitioned for hygiene purpose. Their lunch sets were quite economical with the most expensive one being $89 only. Salads, pastas, rice, steak etc. were available

Daily Soup - Truffle Mushroom Soup (included in set)
The daily soup was Truffle Mushroom Soup. I had to say it was probably one of the best complimentary mushroom soups I had ever had. It was perfectly concentrated and smooth, with some truffle smell which was such a big bonus. You could also find some very fine mushroom mash inside. A very good start to the lunch.

Without second thought, I ordered 蒲燒原條鳗魚飯 again, which did not disappoint me at all. The unagi was really so big! It was so yummy and nicely grilled. It went great with the hot plain rice at the bottom. There was sufficient sauce to finish the rice. The salad on the side was some greens in Japanese-style sesame dressing. Very great value for money 蒲燒原條鳗魚飯 indeed. A must-order dish.

紐西蘭一級西冷扒配薯菜 at $89
The other set we ordered was 紐西蘭一級西冷扒. We could choose either rice, spaghetti or potato wedges and we went for the last. The steak was not fully cooked and was a little bit pink inside. It was not hard to cut (even the tendon and fat) and was still juicy and was reasonably tender. Black pepper had been added to the steak so I basically didn't need to dip it into the gravy sauce served on the side. We were quite surprised that this steak seemed to be even better than the stone grill beef we last tried at this restaurant. There were quite a lot of deep-fried potato wedges accompanying the steak. They were well seasoned and freshly deep fried that they were so hot and starchy. They went great with the ketchup served on the side. Same as the other dish, there were some greens in Japanese-style sesame dressing. It was another good dish at a very economical price.
You could top up by $10 to choose almost all the drinks on this drinks menu.

We topped up one of our sets to get this drink. Again, the mango smoothie was really great value for money. At a price of $10, you could get this big drink with an mango sherbet scoop on top. It was very delicious and tasted pretty natural and smooth. It was not too sweet or artificial at all. Highly recommended.
Hot lemon water (included in lunch set)
My lunch partner decided to just go for the lunch set drink. There were two slices of lemon in the hot lemon water.
Service was very efficient that we finished everything and could leave in 30 min after we were seated. The servers were attentive to collect the used dishes too. I had to say that prices were really cheap, less than $100 per head, given the quality of the food. Will definitely come back again.
