I really like the design and decoration of this place, a very neat re-creation of a classical American burger joint. Its atmosphere really helps to bring back a lot of memories from my school days in Canada. All these diners like Cactus Club, White Spot etc. served not only nice burgers and fries, which were all we could afford at the time, but also provided a place for good friends to gather for good times. Spicy Buffalo Wings with fresh celery (Grade: 3.5/5)
This is one of my favourite dishes of all time. Wings, added with buffalo sauce, has this nice mix of spicy and sour flavour, which stimulate your taste bud like no other spice. The fresh celery provided a complete contrast with a refreshing taste.
Australian Wagyu (Grade: 3/5)
There were all kinds of different burgers served here, from the usual beef burgers to salmon, turkey, chicken you name it and they would probably have it.
I elected to choose the 7oz. Grilled Australian Wagyu Beef Burger tonight. The beef was very tender with a nice proportion of fat. However, I'd like my beef fatty to be more juicy. This one was a bit dry on the inside and I gave the edge to Triple O's beef burgers hands down.
PBJ (Grade: 4.5/5)
Milkshakes are often the best compliment to a nice burger and if you have a sweet tooth, the big-sized milkshakes here are a must try. My personal favourite is their PBJ milkshake with vanilla ice cream, peanut butter syrup and grape jelly. Oreo express and Rocky Road are close runner-ups.
Although the burgers could have been better, this would certainly not going to ruin my night. Great atmosphere, good service and nice food which would bring back fond memories from the past, I could not ask for more.
