was deciding between Rasupermen and 梅光軒and it appears that this place has less negative reviews on openrice so chose it. was assigned seats beside XTC gelateria. the seats are widely spaced so you do not feel crowded like in a food court. if you don't mind eating the Ramen standing up at the small round tables, there is no waiting time. any way, on the food - we ordered one 酱油 chasiu ramen ($93) and one salt flavoured butter corn ramen (forgot price) with the cha siu being terrible (very dry and

any way, on the food -
we ordered one 酱油 chasiu ramen ($93) and one salt flavoured butter corn ramen (forgot price)
with the cha siu being terrible (very dry and doesn't taste good), i regret ordering 酱油 chasiu ramen instead of the cheaper 酱油 ramen, with the difference being that there are less chasiu in the latter. the soup base is quite tasty for this one! the noodles look like 公仔面 but luckily it doesn't taste as bad. it is firmer than 公仔面, but the noodles are actually quite tasteless.
the salt flavoured butter corn ramen is the worst.. the soup base is not salty at all, it is so tasteless you wonder why on earth it is called "salt flavoured"! added LOTS of garlic and still rather tasteless.. we almost couldnt finish it.
got a free apple juice with a voucher. apple juice is so-so being oversweet. the complimentary tea on the other hand is quite 清凉 with a mild malty taste.
i must say that service was courteous though!
now i understand why this place has mostly OKs but no Negatives. the 酱油 soup base literally saved the day. (though there was MSG and i felt thirsty afterwards)
and i understand also that people line up for it simply because it is new, and not because it is good.
will not revisit.
