Recently i chanced upon a Japanese restaurant that offered lunch omakase and the price was very affordable. Seeing that, I decided to bring my wife to go try it. Omakase.sushi was located at Hart ave, near K-11 mall. For their lunch set, they served several choices ranging from sushi and don rice etc. The set consisted of salad, steamed egg and udon etc. Steamed egg - It was served hot and the egg was very soft and smooth. Salad - Salad was fresh and crunchy, and the salad dressing was appetizing.
鮪口魚 - Some sour sauce was placed on top of it to enhance the taste. It was soft and smooth, going well with the rice.
深海池魚 - The texture was thick and was chewy, able to taste the freshness of the sushi as well.
牡丹蝦 - The chef presented it in an unique way, with sesame seed sprayed on top of it. Prawn sahimi was juicy and chewy, sweet as well.
鰤魚 - It was soft and smooth, fresh as well.
小鯛 - It was burnt for awhile before serving, hence having the charred taste. It was soft and flavourful, going well with the rice.
赤貝 - The size was considered huge, and was chewy and smooth.
金目鯛 - It was slightly buttery and thick in texture, having a delicious taste.
中拖羅 - It was chewy and thick, buttery as well. It was fresh as well.
左口魚邊 - It was extremely oily and thin in texture, instantly melting in my mouth. It was very tasty.
海膽 - The chef was very generous with the portion of the sea urchin, almost overflowing out from the seaweed. sea urchin was from Hokkaido was and slightly cold when served. It was very creamy and buttery, going well with the seaweed rice.
燒拖羅 - It was also very oily and soft, flavourful in taste.
櫻花蝦三文魚子飯 - It was presented in a colourful way, with fish roe and sakura shrimps on top of the rice. As both of them was flavourful and salty, it complimented well with the rice, which was fragrant and chewy.
Udon - Udon was very smooth and chewy, and the soup was sweet and clear too.
Cheese tofu - It was hard and cold, very cheesy as well.
