We visited Kitchen Man Restaurant for lunch this afternoon. I’ve never been to this particular restaurant before, but one can generally expect simple yet tasty food from standard HK style cafes (茶餐廳).Unfortunately, I was quite disappointed by my visit. (2) Pork neck laksa
If you follow me, you know I rarely refuse a laksa when it’s available on the menu. It was definitely a mistake this time. The soup base tasted of something like a watered down, mildly curry-flavoured liquid. There was no hint of coconut milk or anything flavourful. That said, the pork neck itself was seasoned quite well and tasty.

(3) Dried beancurd soup (腐竹糖水)
The set lunch came with a complimentary hot beverage or dessert and I picked the dried beancurd soup, which was very delicious.

Despite my below average experience, the restaurant was quite busy. So I would certainly return and give this another chance. I’d also like to add that the service was friendly and efficient.
