I decided to bring my wife out for dinner tonight as it has been awhile since we last dined out together. My friend recommended Elmo Bar to me as he vouched for their food quality. Elmo bar was located at Stone Nullah Lane, about 10 minutes walk from Wanchai MTR.Their food menu was quite interesting in a way that it was written on a hand held board with chalk, so that it can be erased. Their food menu was quite interesting in a way that it was written on a hand held board with chalk, so that it can be erased. I guess the chef intended to change the menu from time to time. Besides food menu, they served several kinds of alcoholic drinks too.
Mcguigan black label sparkling syrah - I ordered a glass of sparkling wine to match the ambience. It was easy to drink, coupled with bubbling fresh juice. It tasted like red wine, but with sparkling effect.
Tomato soup - The soup was creamy and sweet, with slightly thick texture. There were some fresh tomato cubes placed in the soup, fresh and juicy.
There is bread to go along with the soup. The bread was toasted, till it was soft and crispy. Vinegar and garlic were provided to compliment with the bread.
Golden chicken wings- There were plenty of salted egg sauce all over the chicken wings. Chicken wings were soft and juicy, and the salted egg were very flavourful. It was very tasty and creamy as well.
Seared halibut - Halibut was seared till very soft and smooth, with juice bursting out as well. It almost melt in my mouth when i took a bite. Mashed yam puree were creamy and soft, with strong yam taste.
Green tea ice cream - The texture of the ice cream was thick, with strong green tea taste as well. Coconut shreds and nuts were provided to go with the ice cream too.
