My friend and I walked around Sheung Wan looking for a good place to eat lunch and after spending 15 mins walking around, we ended up at this restaurant because it wasn't crowded - another warning sign, I guess!
Sat down, looked around for lunch sets and we picked A and B.
A is the the steak with fried shrimp on rice
B is the Eel / mushroom baked rice
We saw some lunch sets for $25 (on a poster outside), but the waiter said it's only for takeaway.
My friend showed a very shocking face when his meal arrived, not because of the presentation, but because of its portion (small meal on a big plate) - a very thin steak with pepper sauce and a medium-sized fried shrimp.
My baked rice was even smaller - very shallow and tiny oval shaped bowl. The overall taste was ok - the eel (with skin - the skin was very sticky and attached, not easy to bite it off from the "meat" part), the sauce was sweet, like teriyaki sauce with a few pieces of mushroom and covered with cheese. The rice was ok, not too sticky or too soft.
The place is tiny with small tables and chairs, not very comfortable. There's a TV though, but only one.
btw - the lunch set was $38 including drinks. Definitely not a good deal in Sheungwan. No wonder there was not wait at close to 1pm.
Definitely won't go back again.
