I recently visited Mato with a friend for lunch. Before you enter the front door, you may immediately be struck by the beauty of the bar area and the wine cellar. It's defo a beautifully decorated space. The lunch set menu starts from 12:00 to 15:00 (HKD160/pp), including 1 small bite, 1 pasta, 1 dessert, or a drink. We started with the Japanese minced chicken skewer and heirloom tomato salad (+$20). The chicken skewer tasted soft and bouncy with sweet yakitori sauce. For the main dishes, we had crab meat capellini alfredo (+$40), and char siu spaghetti. Every dish was amazing. I do recommend trying the crabmeat capellini alfredo, topped with salmon roes, crab cream, and crab meat. All in all, from the place, interior, service, to the food, I had a great experience here and I will definitely return!
