Wandering around this area of Tsim Sha Tsui, we discovered a new restaurant called 鴻啤啤串燒 (English name: Honk Bear Beer Skewers). As we took a look, the staff came out and warmly invited us in. Not feeling too hungry, we decided to just eat here and try it out.The place served Hong Kong style skewers. There were quite a few diners and more rolled in as the night progressed. The layout was spacious with a bar on one side. They also had a series of beautiful drawings depicting Hong Kong night life.

Menu is in Chinese only. They do not have English. You order by checking off what you want on the menu.
Of course, at places like this, we start with alcohol. It's not a big selection but they do have various sizes including a beer tower! Boyfriend had the Suntory Premium Malt ($68 for 500 mL). They also offer various bottled teas for those that don't drink.
Dried Puff Fish ($48). A must item boyfriend orders when we eat at places like this. Very chewy and not too soft This place really roasts it until it's almost crisp. There was a side of mayo for dipping.
Chicken Skin ($23). Another classic favorite of ours and this came a set of two skewers. I was surprised when I bit into it. It was so crunchy! Like chips! How long has it been where I've had soggy versions of this? I loved that it was so crisp and the skin so thin. It was well seasoned as well. This was really good chicken skin.
Garlic Eggplant ($42). A lot of garlic was generously layered onto this eggplant. It needed to grill just a tiny bit more to truely get all the garlic flavor into the soft eggplant. Lots of seasoning and very fragrant.
Taiwanese Fish Roe Sausage ($26). The sausages were crisp and I loved the large amount of fish roe throughout the sausage, giving it a popping sensation as you bit into it.
Ox Tongue ($58). I was a bit surprised these weren't served on skewer sticks as most places do. Instead they were diced up and grilled. On a stick or not, it was very good. Not over cooked with still the center a tiny bit pink.
Grilled Pineapple ($28). The pineapple was both sour and sweet. Super juicy as well.
Lamb Meat ($28). A good seasoning of cumin, the meat was tender and cooked well.
Chicken Wings ($22). You also get two of these. The wings were just cooked so still remained juicy. It was seasoned well with various seasonings like cumin and spices.
Bacon Wrapped Lychee ($35). Finally we ended with this. Personally, my favorite of the evening. The lychee was sweet and went well with the salty bacon. The bacon also had a nice crispy texture.
The food was quite decent. Well seasoned but not too much. Prices weren't too expensive. Seating was spacious and clean. Not too noisy as well so you could talk without yelling. A nice addition to this area.
