The New Elia takes a playful approach to bring us some Spanish-eastern bites with an Asian twist. Another fave would be the Royal Prawn. Seasoned with herbs, while the puree was made by the head of the shrimp that came with Spanish paprika. A sweet flavour with a firm and juicy texture to the meat.
For the main course, we tried one of their signature - Stuffed Monkfish. At first, I thought it was just an ordinary noodles, but it turned out to be a chewy squid noodles. However, there’s too much fresh squeezed lemon juice on the monkfish so taste a bit sour.
Well, luckily I do fond of their cocktails, impressive appearance for this Annli Genovesi. Topped with elderflower foam and orange zest. It has a nice light, refreshing flavor, that especially good on a hot day.
Last but not last, the range of sweet bites are quite limited. Hopefully, they will add some more authentic desserts like churros to the menu. For a Matcha & Chocolate Coulant with a kick of bright flavour, you can't go wrong with this ginger mousse on the side. They are perfectly complemented to each other. Indeed, an interesting and creative dish to end the perfect night.
Overall, nice ambience and hospitality that I’d say I’ll be back for more drinks.
