When it's weekends, a nice sip of coffee and a book which I forever fail to finish reading is what I would imagine. You could only find a quiet location for this either at home or maybe the cafes at soho (could get really crowded during brunch). I decided to take a mtr a few stations down the west and hopped off at Sai Ying Pun Station exit A2. Not far from the exit is a small boutique cafe which serves toasts, coffee and fruit tea.I hopped in seeing a perfect spot by the window only to see that
I hopped in seeing a perfect spot by the window only to see that they you can also sit in the alley at the back. Seemingly quiet, and no one was seated outside due to the mild heat, I decided to enjoy the space on my own. Raise your head you are surrounded by tall residential buildings but actually very quiet as it blocks you from the traffic.
Their fluffy cloud on toast is their signature dish. The toast is drizzled with egg yolk and bacon bits and topped with fluffy egg white. Be sure you have wet tissues with you because to indulge in the flavour, you have to get your hands dirty.
The grilled eel tamagoyaki is my favourite but be sure you find a friend to share with you because it is gets quite stuffy on the third piece.
The wasabi teriyaki chicken salad is also worth a shout out. The wasabi mayo sauce brings freshness to the vegetables and complements very well with the chicken.
If you wish to have a quiet chillout time alone feeling a bit hipster while you are in the area, a place for you to consider.
