A small, humble, family-run restaurant. Beef pho: A standard order whenever I go to Vietnamese restaurants. This broth definitely had little to no-msg in it. Rather it was flavoured nicely with a prominent star anise scent. Lots of beef. A simple dish executed well.
Steamed vietnamese parcels: Another dish often found in Vietnamese restaurants. Very generous portions, freshly made.
We also had tamarind juice - a nice thirst quencher in the sweltering heat, and a lime soda - lime flavour was very good and not overpowering.
