First, they are not pancakes; they are soufflés. Dry, not so fluffy, deflated soufflés. These pancakes are very popular though and patrons actually queue up for them. I went on a Sunday evening at 8 p.m. and had to wait 30 minutes before I got a table for 4.To be fair, all the other patrons waited just as long as I did (if not longer). The waiters looked enthusiastic. They paid heed to smile when they explained gently to patrons that it could be another 20 to 40 minutes wait as the pancakes are

To be fair, all the other patrons waited just as long as I did (if not longer). The waiters looked enthusiastic. They paid heed to smile when they explained gently to patrons that it could be another 20 to 40 minutes wait as the pancakes are made as and when they are ordered. When the pancakes finally arrived after all this waiting, most patrons looked happy with their orders.
We ordered 4 pancakes. I tried all 4 of them and they were not all that special. They came to a total of about HK$520.
It may be called A Happy Pancake but this patron is not so happy. These neo-pancakes are not for me. They are overrated.
