One of Kowloon’s newest hotels it has taken the finest elements of traditional afternoon tea, that's Rosedale Hotel Kln. I took a half-day off today and had a walk-in tea there.
Rosedale Hotel Kln is located at Tai Kok Tsui, near to Ivy Street.
This is a classic afternoon tea. 1. delicate finger sandwiches including tuna, bacon, smoked salmon with horseradish and watercress.
2. baked scones – plain(with choco powder under) and fruits.
3. miniature French pastries and English classics such as chocolate gateau and bakewell tart.
English tea with lemon which was my favorite since it was so light and easy to drink, but I felt quite disappointed that the teapots are china, not silver, and just a tea bag used, not loose tea.
I started with finger sandwiches, followed by scones, and then ended up with cakes and pastries. All are delicious, fresh, not too heavy, and very flavorful. Although the sandwiches and desserts looked small and dainty, they still filled me up. I enjoyed it so much that I am looking forward to going back in the near future. Reasonable price(served for HK 98.00 per person) and a nice meal out is going to be more.
I was shocked there was an only customer during the 2-hour tea time, it was just ME! oops... it seemed very difficult to run a business in HK.
