A day of shopping and I needed a cake break. Looking about I decided on Lumi. Lumi is a new restaurant located in Pacific Place focusing on Japanese French cuisine that is run by Chef Kihachi Kumagai from Tokyo. During tea time, they have an afternoon tea set menu. Menu in English and Chinese. A dessert or light sandwich. They also have high tea sets. I noted that they made if available for one! This is great as I often tea alone and I love a good high tea but most places only offer them for two.

But I was not in the mood for a high tea set so I ordered a cake and coffee. I had a latte ($40). Latte was ok. Nothing really special about it. But then I wasn't here for the coffee. It came with a buttery cookie.
I ordered an apple mille crepe ($90). It arrived looking just so so pretty!
The crepe layers weren't aligned very well. They were a bit crooked. Considering this cost more than Lady M, I was a bit disappointed in that imperfection. However, the cake held together well when I slid my fork through it. The cake was lovely. It had a good balance of cream to crepe. The taste of the apples shone through and it was good touch. There was also a scoop of vanilla ice cream. Not really needed but nice none the less.
Nice surroundings with good service. The cake was good but not spectacular. Especially for the price I paid. May be back to try lunch. But for dessert? It's a bit average.
