Having heard good things about this place, we chose this for a friend's birthday. We ordered a number of signature dishes as it was our first time here.The wasabi octopus salad was fantastic. Fresh and crunchy cucumber while the octopus was soft and tender. The mild hint of wasabi wasn't overpowering.The lotus root pork sticks were yummy though not as much lotus root as I would like. Tempura beef brisket with curry sauce didn't work for me. I didn't like it. The frying of the beef made it dry. However, the curry sauce was fragrant and good though a bit too spicy for me.

Black truffle garoupa was a total let down and confirms to me the misuse of truffle and how wannabe Michelin restaurants pull the black truffle dish and don't serve you real truffle. But ignorant masses still order it thinking they are eating truffle when they aren't. I didn't taste truffle at all in this dish. Even if they used truffle oil, I didn't taste it as it is overpowering and would destroy the delicate flavor of the fish. This dish was a complete rip off.

This was my favorite of the night. Sweet and sour pork. They served it in ice to show that it was quickly chilled to create the crisp skin. I appreciate the creative presentation but seriously, do we need this much ice? It felt like I was eating Hu Lau San while I was digging through the ice for a piece of pork.

Seafood pot was not really worth a recommendation. It was your usual seafood pot you find anywhere.

Tea smoked chicken was not very good. I've had better in a lot of other places. The chicken was dry. There wasn't much tea flavor. Again, do we need this much tea leaves for presentation?

Steamed crab sticky rice was ok. I've had much better in other places. The rice was flavored with crab but it was also soggy and not dry and sticky enough. Also, I found too many tiny crab shell fragments in my rice. This I shouldn't expect in a high end Chinese restaurant.

Overall, a few dishes were good, a few ok and a few that really missed the mark. Working hard on gimmicks and not really quite getting it right. One should note, service was amazing and attentive.
