Finally my best friend is back in town. It’s time to do some proper catch up again and one good thing to do is ofcos to grab dinner and chit chat like no tomorrow. Korean BBQ sound like a good plan? not too worry about MERS we went to Kimberly Road aka Korean Street for Korean BBQ, heard that this place’s special treat is a 88cm chain long assorted BBQ , once you order they will hang it on the ceiling and we can cook it piece by piece, sound kinda fun I guess? So it consist of a big portion of meat, pork belly to start with to burn some fat on the pans, so the pan wont be sticky then follow with veges, pineapple, pork chop, spare ribs, chicken fillet , sausage, prawn and mushrooms, they come with 2 dipping sauce and salt, wish they come with the bean paste and a vege basket too then we can wrap the meat with the veges.
I liked the pork belly , kinda crispy!The mushrooms and pineapple is good too, and the sausage was pretty nice. They are semi cooked so it really doesn’t require a lot of work. Their portion is pretty generous it is a good to share for 2-3 pax , probably adding another main dish will be more than sufficient.
My frd is a fan of Korean style pot. I wanted Fried Chicken but it will be way too much of meat for 2 of us to finish, instead we had a Spicy Seafood pot to share. Once again, It is a big port with lots of Seafood in there, shrimp, squid, clams and mussel and veges.
My friend love those veges and squid so much. The prawn is big and all other seafood are done pretty nicely! I cant eat as spicy as my friend, but we had at least 3 bowls of each. Right, next time we should at least go in a group of 4 , then at least we wont waste too much of food right?
I had a soda and my frd ordered some beer for drinks, I am not a fan of beer and I only consume alcoholic drinks before my day offs so I can still go to work in shape
