Keep partying after the end of this semester!! Tonight four of us hung out in Mong Kok and finally settled down in this lovely place. We started off off 5-course dinner with three types of salad. The one closest to the camera was potato with mustard honey sauce. Well...not much a surprise really, just some typical dressing on some veggies and potatoes. The cherry tomatoes were quite fresh though. We also shared this appetiser- baked escargots with mash potato. The few bits and pieces of escargot

The foie gras set included a piece pan-fried foie gras, which is honestly overcooked that the bottom of baguette was literally burned and even had some bitterness...what a waste of this high-quality foie gras, which was fried to perfection with crisp on the outside and smooth texture inside.

Nothing special about this pan fried king prawn cuz again, it was overcooked. BUT the garlic better sauce stood out with its strong aroma and herb seasoning.

So here's the char grilled US sirloin steak that was about 20cm long. The waiter didn't ask how we wanted it to be cooked. It came out medium rare which was acceptable but I wished we were given a choice.

The crisp on both sides of the steak did give a some hints of how it was freshly char grilled. It was not easy to make such crispy coating while retaining so much juice and flavours at the middle. Simply sensational~

Then we had this baked Spain pork knuckles with mustard honey sauce.

This nicely presented dish did has it own charm. The knuckles was again grilled to perfection but where is the sauce?? What a pity... it could have been much more favourable with some sweetness from the honey mustard sauce. Now without the sauce to keep the meat moist, it dried out within 15 minutes.

Our last main dish was pan fried rose soft grouper fish  fillet with pumpkin and cheese risotto.

This name was attracted enough but its taste somehow let me down. The fillet was not fresh enough so it gave out a little gamey taste...

Risotto normally came with a mouthful of sauce but down below that cheese layer, it was nothing more than Italian rice cooked in an amount cream sauce just enough to give it some Italian favour. The sauce was not bad at all! I just need some more to at least get that smooth and rich texture that a risotto normally offers!
