Came here 3 times in succession, due to coincidence. 1st time was when a friend wanted a particular Seafood dish, and this was the only restaurant on Kowloon side I am aware of serving a whole Sea Bass. 2nd time was by invitation to try out the new chef's signature dishes. The 3rd time was because another friend wanted accompaniment to her lunch and I ended up trying the same dishes anyway - at least that way I can ensure of consistency. To be honest, I actually enjoy Divino Patio more de
To be honest, I actually enjoy Divino Patio more despite them belonging in the same group. I find that at Spasso, some dishes were really great but others weren't really to my preference. Here are some of the dishes I recommend or others which showed some potential !
.
A typical Italian aperitivo made of Aperol Orange liquor, with Prosecco and a dash of soda. This came with an Olive but I want more orange flavour in the background.
.
I was surprised by the beefiness and the strong porcini presence. The version here is made of circular mould cut beef and seemed machine sliced too, but all for the better compared to the original hammered version. Really liked this dish and there was a lot of beef here. A bargain.. ~ 9/10
.
I ordered this because I love a good Melanzane stack, and this looked a bit different than the norm. A different type of elongated purpler eggplant was used instead which were sliced across grain and made smaller stacks. This was more crunchier than usual and cheesy. ~ 8/10
.
The highlight was the Sicilian sourced King Prawns. The flavour was generally pleasing, we thought the linguine could be much more al dente, the sauce could be thicker to coat the pasta. But those Sicilian King prawns and imported Scampis were excellent. Pity about the pasta and sauce... ~ 6.9/10

Had this dish twice lately, and it was sublime. The risotto was all'onda and al dente, packed with concentrated crustacean umami. In fact I haven't had a better seafood risotto in HK. Last time it had more orange zest flavour, but this time perhaps a bit too much diced orange? The Sea urchin was also more flavourful than the 2nd time visit. Yet the 2nd visit yielded a stronger flavoured, redder colored risotto. Inconsistencies aside, this was a very good dish and come highly recommended. ~ 10/10
.
This was cooked well, it was moist and flavourful. Needed more herbs and seasoning though to be impressive. ~ 6.9/10
.
Came with a nice Vanilla Panna Cotta, a very good Tiramisu which had both Espresso & Coffee Liquor taste. The chocolate fondant was the 'ganache' version and quite runny in the centre. ~ 8/10

This was a summary of my 3 visits, although parts of these were of Invitational nature and a grander meal was paid by me. I actually thought there were some weaker dishes here, but the Carpaccio with Porcini and the Sicilian Red Sea Prawn & Urchin Risotto were as good as it gets in Hong Kong. Let's hope the other dishes will also improve 1 day..
