Walked all the way from Central to Sheung Wan just for some Chinese dessert after dinner one night. Moon Kee was the only place I could think of if you want to get some Chinese desserts in Central/Sheung Wan at night. I did not have the usual Thai Black Glutinous Rice with Mango in Coconut Juice but opted for something more traditional - the Sweet Ball & Sesame Soup & Walnut Soup. It took a while as the 'sweet balls' was cooked only when orders were placed.
If Moon Kee was supposed to be a place for the customers to be satisfied -'moon juke', it could NOT do the job as i was not satisfied with the sweet soup i got. It might be a convenient place for a quick Chinese dessert after dinner, and it might be good enough for tourists; but what it serves are definitely NOT the best you can get in Hong Kong. I'd rather walk a longer distance to a better dessert place than to waste my dessert quota on this mediocre 'sweet ball' I got.
