To be fair, the food in this bbq place was acceptable. All the food and soft drinks were self served, and it’s all you can eat/ drink, except for ice creams and bottled/ canned beverages. However the service and utensils were highly inadequate. You only get 2 pairs of tongs for grilling per table (even though you have up to 8-10 persons), and only one single large plate (for getting your food) and only one tiny plate (for getting your bread), also per table. This is quite ridiculous because it’s
However the service and utensils were highly inadequate. You only get 2 pairs of tongs for grilling per table (even though you have up to 8-10 persons), and only one single large plate (for getting your food) and only one tiny plate (for getting your bread), also per table. This is quite ridiculous because it’s actually very insufficient, plus the shared plates were disposable, and were obviously not big enough for 8-10 to share (see photo below).
Utensils (paper bowl, chopsticks and plastic cup) were also allocated, per head: one set only. If you happen to drop any of them on the ground/ your utensils got blown away by wind, you have to pay extra to get a new one….
The charcoal finished burning very quickly, and you could tell that the quality/ density was not ideal for charcoal barbecue becos you need to constantly add new charcoals into your grill. THE PROBLEM is you won’t be able to find a staff to help you take the grill plate and the boiling pot when you need to add new fuels. Those are HEAVY and HOT, no fabric gloves were available and no staff to help out, this is again RIDICULOUS- because you to pay a “barbecue pit fee” on top of your entrance fee.
This place is famous because of their pit as there’s a hole in the middle that fits a pot of broth for hot pot, there were a selection of vegetables/ mushrooms which you can opt for hot pot or barbecue.
Meats were mostly chicken, pork and beef, and a variety of meatballs. We only saw one type of fish (with bones) available that day so I’m not sure whether they provide other seafood.
There were also a few choices of bread: plain sliced bread; sliced baguette; 豬仔包; 餐包, and a self-serve provision of butter and garlic. Honey and brush were allocated one portion per table.
The dining area is covered and shielded over head, but there was no fan/ ventilation, so it could get pretty hot and be very careful. We saw that there were some “better areas”/ “party areas” which you could reserve for a larger capacity, it’s a little cooler but still, don’t expect it is “air-conditioned” as it advertised.
