麗晶終於重開了!自助餐勁難book, 所以就先去the Steak House試試水溫先啦!雖然仲係叫 the Steak House, 仲係喺同一個位,但同以前洲際時代嘅the Steak House已經完全唔同。個廚好明顯換左,啲侍應換晒(都好正常,隔咗咁耐),不過好明顯係新手,俾人感覺好小心翼翼。甜品值得一讚嘅地方係細件左好多,以前超大份,仲記得叫個雪糕都有十幾球,而家一個人食兩份都仲得😆整體食物質素都唔錯嘅,不過洲際時代更勝一籌。以前嘅the Steak House只能留在回憶之中了。

I am definitely outdated. I didn’t know Hotel Regent is the old Intercontinental until my friends kept talking about The Steak House. Great! That means we can finally go to the legendary THE Steak House again! Time flies! My last visit was in 2013. Still remember there’s construction going on at the facade and it blocked out the harbour view. Arrived early when the restaurant was empty. Greeted by warm, lovely staffs. Time flies! My last visit was in 2013. Still remember there’s construction going on at the facade and it blocked out the harbour view.


Arrived early when the restaurant was empty. Greeted by warm, lovely staffs. Appreciate they know the design of the chair is a bit big so they offer a cushion for the ladies for our back.

Before we placed our orders, we checked the meat first! They also gave us a tour to show us the salad bar.


Compared to the salad bar in the past, seems like they have minimized the variations but all looks very fresh.


For the meat shelf, it’s just so attractive and the meat is displayed decently. Made us even more difficult to make our decisions.

Beef Tenderloin Tartare 8oz $520
Served with free range egg yolk, condiments.


My friend is a big fans of beef tartare. We were joking he’d properly take 6oz out of it. He definitely approved this tartare as he wanted to order another one. We stopped him of course as we had already ordered a lot of dishes.

King Crab Cake, Tartar sauce, lemon $260
Salute to the king crab and the chef! This is one of the best crab cake I’ve ever had. You can taste the sweetness and how fresh the King crab is. I can hear Gordon Ramsey’s yelling “Never make crab cake with beautiful fresh crab!”. I understand his point. But using high quality fresh crab for crab cake is definitely elevating the dish to another level.


And yes, we have encored another portion.

Grilled octopus, tomato chutney, picked mustard seeds $300


Interesting presentation with chips. Octopus is tender and grilled perfectly.

Bone marrow, Uni, parsley, garlic, shallots, capers, yuzu kosho $250
An indulgent bite of uni together with bone marrow. Yuzu levels down the heaviness and oily sensation of the bone marrow. I do enjoy this version of bone marrow.

Uruguayan Asado Angus Beef 4oz, chimichurri sauce, crispy onion $400
We are very curios about the Uruguayan but not adventurous enough to order a big Uruguayan steak. This is a good choice for us to small portion.


The beef flavour is very tense and not much fat in it. It’s a decent dish but Uruguayan is not on my my favourite steak list.

Here it comes! We picked the T-Bone from the meat shelf which is around $4000. It’s from Mayura Farm in Australia. It’s full blooded wagyu. Meaning the whole family is from wagyu but they are raised in Australia but not in Japan. And yes, they are fed with chocolate.


I first thought strip part would be leaner than the tenderloin. Tenderloin part is perfect! Definitely one of the best I had. Strip part for me is too fat so I had one and I already felt I had enough. Whole steak grilled perfectly tho. Of course there’s different salts and condiments you can go with.

For sides, we have ordered potatoes au gratin $98, and sautéed mushroom $98.


Au Gratin is soso. Potatoes were a bit under. Mushrooms are great!

Baked Alaska $450
Not sure who ok earth ordered this baked alaska. Definitely add a bit drama to the dinner but it’s not my choice of dessert always. My friends love it but I just don’t enjoy the liquor with cakes. Just not my thing.


After a few bottles and lots of laughters, time to go home with a big belly, and a happy, satisfying mood.

難得book到一日,好期待因為太耐冇食過,以前個質數真係好好,唔習慣影相所以冇相分享,首先食咗半打蠔,味道正常,但冇乜鮮甜味,跟住beef tartar鹹到食唔到,換咗另一個比我哋(正常好多),都好食嘅,蟹餅每次都必食,又係偏鹹,不過今次無叫佢換,因為都接受到,主菜西班牙牛柳dry age200日,個口感似和牛,我同先生都唔太鍾意食和牛,所以都覺得一般,同埋以前上牛扒會有十幾款鹽同芥辣介紹,而家係問佢先會拎黎(唔知唔記得定係冇咗呢個服務)只係得各3款,有期望先會失望,應該會隔多一段時間先會再比機會佢

The Regent 是令很多人回憶的酒店,當年酒店內每一間餐廳都有水準,非常好的服務. 年三十夜到訪 The Steak House 吃團年飯,首先選了頭盤- salad bar, 它們的 salad bar 係非常出色,食物擺放有精究,價錢亦不貴. 去到主菜牛扒方面,餐廳經理介紹得好好,會清楚話比客人知道牛的肉質,會問清楚客人是否喜歡,很專業. 我們試了 USDA super prime Rib eye, Tenderloin & pluma iberico. 烤法、味道掌握得好. Side dish 的 Lobster Macaroni 亦非常出色. 整體而言,無論環境,服務,食物都出色.

Regent Hong Kong will be reopening soon after 3 years of revamp while few of their restaurants have already operating for soft opening. I was lucky enough to secure a table on their first week to try out this icon on the harbour. They are now my favourite steakhouse in town. They are one of the few places that has the licence for charcoal grill in HK, let alone steakhouse. Besides, riding on the hotel revamp, the restaurant has changed the style to a more cozy setting with more emphasis on ox leather and red hue to reflect their identity as a steakhouse.

Didn’t quite expect a good sourdough in a steakhouse but they managed to perfect everything thing here. The crust was perfect while the bread was a bit tangy! Actually most of the starters we had happened to serve with bread and it proved that their pastry section was actually top notch.

Crab cake is a must order to me in a steakhouse and I think I just had the best ever in my life. This is a real crab cake, I mean just crab meat and crab meat. Not extra amount of cream and onion. The meat was really fresh and delicious as if eat the fresh crab, but better! It had a firmer texture with superb tartar sauce.

First time trying an Uruguayan beef and it was surprisingly good. The flavour was very intense even when it’s raw which was perfect for tartare. The meat was from tenderloin and nicely chopped by hand. A flawless executiion with right seasoning!

Thanks Chef for a special dish for us. It was so nicely plated. The terrine was very smooth that you could even treat it as butter for the brioche on side. Also, enjoyed the fig and raspberry jelly, not too sweet and sour!

Honestly, I didn’t like the uni and bone marrow pairing at first but it turned out to be alright! The marrow was absolutely a guilty pleasure that everyone needed once in a while. Do request some yuzu salt for it. It just enhanced everything!

Super prime is actually a really premium cut that only the top 0.4% could be named as super prime. As the staff described “the cut is invincible” and I have to agree. It had the perfect meaty flavour and my favourite hanging cap of fat. Look at the colour and the thin crisp, it’s a perfect steak that everyone needs. There were wide range of sauces and seasoning to choose from. My favourites were the classic peppercorn sauce and the unique charcoal salt!

The champion beef here and also the only one that was kept from their old menu. Honestly, tenderloin was never my favourite cut since it lacked the strong meat flavour. But the ox from this farm was actually an old one, from 12-15 years old. So the flavour was totally a different story that it shocked me. The flavour was out of imagination while the texture was not as tender as I thought (which I love indeed). I can tell why they could not take out this beef from the menu!

I struggled so long for the side since we were way too full to even finish one. So we got something not many people could nail here since we have great confidence to the kitchen and it was not disappointing at all! The cheese here was amazing but I personally loved a drier version.

The souffle was very fancy with burning fire on side! It helped rise the souffle further and kept it warm. It was airy that melted in mouth instantly which it turned into bourbon snd eggy aroma. Just wish the ice cream on side to be less cold so it could merge with the souffle better.

I was struggled on the dessert option and we followed staff’s personal favourite. It was just the right choice! This was a texture of strawberry which each gave different flavour. I liked the refreshing and mildly sour strawberry inside to round the flavour and conclude the meal!
