Oysters Pancakes, well I think we should call it oyster pancakes with 6 oysters (or 8 if you are lucky). The concern was that there were literally only a few oysters inside this oyster pancakes. If you check out the picture, this particular angle / side did not even contain one piece of oyster. What else? Even with the sauce, my friend and I found it to lack any flavors. If you check out the picture, this particular angle / side did not even contain one piece of oyster. What else? Even with the sauce, my friend and I found it to lack any flavors. Was it really my taste buds?? Humm ... I am not sure honestly.

Silk Melon with Clams carried the same characteristic of lacking flavors. Perhaps they went out of salt? Oh wait, maybe they were creating a healthy version of night market dishes? hummm ... thumbs down for me I am sorry.

I grouped the following two dishes together because they are very similar, both the Slow Cook Pork Stew over Rice and Stick Rice ...humm ... lacked flavors. Apparently the most flavorful item was the salted cucumber on the rice. Fusion style?

Service was very good and I hope the opinion I expressed above (as well as the comments I expressed on the spot when being asked that evening) can be implemented. They value customer feedbacks from how they ask diners regarding their experiences at the end of the meal so I hope they continue to do so and continue to search for the best combination that would suit targeted diners.

    位於Stanley 11六樓及七樓的新貴Night Market，平日午市不設訂位，近1時已擠滿了人，七樓情況好一些，比較快有位。餐廳裝修簡約，餐牌及食具頗有特色，加上價錢略貴，有理由相信是走fusion路線，可是食物卻只是一般的台式便當，驚喜欠奉 。我點了一個紅燒牛肉麵午市套餐，包3個小點(蓮藕、茄蛋、茄子)及一杯台式飲品(我選了珍珠奶茶)。紅燒牛肉麵多腩少麵，牛腩肉質軟熟，但有點不夠入味，牛筋的味道則不俗﹔湯底很甜，差不多給我喝光﹔麵質還好但可更彈牙。3個小點則不過不失。珍珠奶茶很大杯，但略嫌不夠甜，珍珠不夠多。雖然中環有不少午市套餐都逾百元，但這樣大眾化的台食都要付這個價錢，環境又不是太有特色，總覺有點不值。

    no booking allowed, so i came at 12:35, but there was lots of tables.the set lunch offers lunch boxes which comes with 3 little side dishes.i had the taiwanese beef noodles, which was not so taiwanese, but since i have not had a nice taiwanese beef noodles in HK as yet, so that was acceptable. the side dishes were quite outstanding

      My friend noticed this place and decided we should try since it's new.We went there yesterday, the environment was nice, it looked clean (maybe cause it's new).They serve bubble tea too, and I ordered a passion fruit green tea with tapioca- it was VERY sweet.When we first got there, the menu looked very impressive and we basically wanted to try everything on it!We ordered a bitter melon soup- decent, but not enough "bitter" taste and it was rather oily.We also ordered a Braised Beef Noodles, one

      When we first got there, the menu looked very impressive and we basically wanted to try everything on it!

      We ordered a bitter melon soup- decent, but not enough "bitter" taste and it was rather oily.

      We also ordered a Braised Beef Noodles, one of the most popular dishes in TW, but this was very disappointing! It's not cheap either, $82! The noodles were soggy, and the beef wasn't soft enough... plus it was tasteless. Seemed nothing like the traditional Taiwanese braised beef noodles.


      I would think the Popcorn chicken was the best, but really needed to add the chilli sauce. The batter was ok, and the chicken was tender.

      The Kung Pao Shrimp was another disappointment- it looked VERY nice- all glossy and big, but it was absolutely tasteless! No sweet or sour, not even the Kung Pao spicy


      We also ordered the Slow-cooked pork stew over rice- it looked so dry I didn't even want to try it.

      The waiter suggested the Oyster Pancake, but it didn't taste right, and the sauce was just wrong! But because the waiter suggested it, he asked for our comments and we were pretty frank, so he didn't charge us for the pancake.

      We didn't finish the food at all.

      The bill was around $530

      I really don't think I'll be going back again- everything was tasteless!

      濫用台灣夜市之名***

      一向熱愛台灣的我們，對台灣的食店當然也會有一點興趣。可惜真正能食到當地夜市的食物例如棺材版，鹽酥菇，豬血糕等的也不多。見這裡是吃台灣菜，又名自己為night market，心想難道會有些類似的東西吃？所以是日午餐便決定上去試一試了。大概下午十二時半來到，這間餐廳佔據了兩層，一進門口已非常熱鬧，頗多客人呢。雖未坐滿但也約有七，八成了，裝修簡約，它是中間一張大檯，側邊再有些雙人檯和圓檯似的，不過一大堆人坐在中間的大檯實在略嫌擠迫了點，清楚聽到了旁邊的人的對話，而且還手碰手的，感覺差了一點。服務員拿了一個lunch set的menu給我，嘩，一看價錢一點也不便宜呀! 絕對不是夜市的價錢呢，當然我不是期望幾十台幣，但也不用花到數百台幣吧! 最便宜的也要 $76 起，加珍珠奶茶等飲品要加 $15 呢! 赫然明白這個是中環夜市，不是台灣夜市呀!!       等了大概十分鐘到，食物便來到了，前菜和麵是一起來的。三個前菜分別是蓮藕，扁豆，和皮蛋豆腐。蓮藕切了粒，吃下去爽口非常，帶點微辣，但不太入味，只吃到點點蓮藕的清甜味，但真的頗淡呢。扁豆幾好，吃下去淋淋的，有扁豆的香味，是較清新的味道，加點鹹鹹的醬汁也不錯。皮蛋豆腐是有麻醬在底的，所以吃下去味道也較濃郁，皮蛋小小的，豆腐很滑，加上麻醬味道幾好，相反變得不太吃到皮蛋的味道呢。

      之後就是主菜紅燒牛肉麵了，份量適中，先喝一喝湯底，味道是頗清甜的，有頗香的牛肉味，再帶點點辣的刺激，這個湯底算是不錯。麵條是偏淋的那種，沒有彈牙的口感，但粗幼適中，都可以接受。再吃牛肉，牛肉份量算是頗多，與麵的份量不太合比例呢。先試一件牛筋，夠淋和入味，吃下去滑滑的。不再吃牛肉就真的差了一點點，那種肉質咬下去就像吃那些要來燉完湯的肉的感覺，就是有點點靱，而且出哂味那種，只剩下很微的牛肉味，而且真的一點也不淋，個人真的麻麻地喜歡這個呢。有一兩件牛肉是伴著一些脂肪的，這兩件就較好吃，因為肉質很嫩很肥美，其他偏瘦的就真的麻麻地。

      吃畢後，飲品還未到，我總共提了四次他才來到，不過不用一提，就是綠茶味，沒任何特別。這裡仍是新運作，仍有漏單的情形出現，而且他們也好像有點手忙腳亂似的。總括個人覺得味道一般，但價錢就不太一般，還濫用夜市之名! 明明就不是呀! 好懷念基隆夜市的小林煎餅呀! =)
