在上环工作的人相信都知道上环美食多不胜数、有特色、有名气的更是如数家珍。但当你每日都重复找食,你就会没有意见、没有所谓了。就在公司附近的一个不远的转角处,有一间上年才开张的餐厅,听说是主打西班牙菜。虽然已经开业一年,但也没有特别走去踩踩点。这几天因为有同事生日想请她食一餐lunch生日饭,就打算和同事去试一试了。订位时段好像只有12:15和13:15,幸好我们有可以自由出去食饭的时间,所以直截了当选了12:15的时段,绝对能避开不少lunch的人潮啊! 待应其实挺细心的,当看到我们快走到门口时,一个女侍应立即为我们开门了!满主动的。对于lunch食西餐来说,$68-$118,这个价钱算是中等,不会说太贵。听说餐牌会定期转变的,希望带来新鲜感。店内光线很足,因为两边都是大大的落地玻璃,环境不错。我和同事各点了一个lunch set。当天的soup of the day是大蒜薯蓉汤,没有很浓烈的大蒜味,是完全能够接受的味道,相对的薯仔的味道好浓郁、好香,汤喝下去很滑、可惜汤有点稀身。另外再另上了法包,上来时还微暖的,口感脆脆的。 我点了fish and chips、同事就点了grilled ox tongue。份量比想像中来得要大,鱼有3大块。天啊,我好爱那薯条啊,刚炸好热辣辣,上面还撤了类似七味粉(!?)来调味,其实我本身也偏爱这款粗身薯条啦 同事点的是烤煮牛舌配薯条,没想到牛舌竟然是厚切的,同事也偏爱吃牛类,给它一个赞!饮品我和同事都点了咖啡。Lunch set的饮料好像柠檬茶、可乐、七喜那些是不用收费的,但咖啡要另外加$15-$22,但尚在接受范围内,咖啡味很香很浓。

It's a joke, a Spanish tapas restaurant does not know how to make tortilla, it turned out to be an omelette, sth which u ordered as omelette, and as we returned it, the waiter was kind enough to let us have another pick from the menu, yet I was disappointed that the chef didn't make use of this chance to Re-do the dish and regain the credits.I just can't imagine that this classic dish is being so wrongly prepared, there were maybe two or three cubes of potatoes and the rest was egg. It was also a bit tasteless becos u need to season the potatoes a bit with salt and pepper.A traditional, or all the tortilla I ate in my life, were made of mostly potatoes, the eggs were there merely to bind the potatoes together. Sadly to say, this restaurant failed to make it.We also ordered some other tapas, like baked mushrooms (ok) deep fried anchovies (GD) and sardines (ok) but I cannot forgive the tortilla was wrong.We needed to go to another restaurant to finish the dinner becos I lost faith there.

Friday night 特地来一试这转角小店, 装修环境几舒服. 有可以看街景的大玻璃, 感觉cosy我地无咩 idea 食d咩, waiter 好好人推荐了几样, 果然全部都好满意!tomato salsa 煮青口 - 青口新鲜, 难得无渣, (食过太多咬完要吐出来的青口) 酱汁带点惹味, 不错蒜片小鱼pasta (忘记了menu上的official 名字) - 有时就系最简单的食物最考功夫吧! 这pasta 材料很普通, 但几惊喜, 意粉一端上就香气四溢, 质地做到al dente, 够干身, 有浓浓的蒜同olive oil 香味. 当然仲有小鱼的味道 (其实没有特别记住是甚么鱼...waiter 形容那可以叫做像鬼佬咸鱼) 整体个pasta好香口, 虽然系饱肚的食物但完全不觉腻, 烧鸡真系好好好好食! 真系要一试! waiter 说鸡用了好多香料腌制, 吃了一口, 鸡的味道的确不简单, 表皮烧得香脆, 甜甜的有蜜糖和牛油香, 鸡肉散发香草味. 之前要求伴菜不要薯条要蔬菜, 餐厅也很好特别换了. 整体好满意, 食物好, 店员几友善, 会再来的

今次系第二次嚟呢间餐厅食饭。第一次系食晚餐,今次专程试吓lunch。Egg Benedict 个sauce好特别,因为佢会grill个面头,会香啲~而且poached egg都做得好好~ 绝对唔会散开!如果个包唔系muffin可能口感会好啲~因为整体口感有点软身。Grill salmon 系第二次食~一样咁好食!好难得可以每次都系啱啱熟,鱼肉好滑~鱼皮又香又脆。个sauce嘅味道亦好香牛油~ fries有啲spice而且炸得啱啱好~正!每次饮嘅咖啡都啱晒温度~ 保持到牛奶嘅香味同咖啡嘅cream。送到上枱嘅时候鲜奶嘅cream仲未沈淀,令客人可以饮到第一口最creamy嘅咖啡系我最欣赏!

Oh yes! This what we've been looking for, unfussy Spanish tapas! These dishes don't taste like fake western dishes made up in the mind of a grandma talking to a GI. The chef that's making these dishes is very well traveled. His Hong Kong style shows through with the "Spanish Omelet" tapa that was more like a quiche. It was still seasoned well though, as well as light and fluffy. We got the grilled sardines (wonderful), aglio e olio (spicy and good), carbonara pizza (kinda like chili, not my favorite), and fried cauliflower with an anchovy mayo (yum!). Everything was pretty satisfying--- the atmosphere is super relaxing.I just wish they had really good extra virgin Spanish olive oil to sprinkle on all of their dishes--- the grilled sardines were fantastic, but a drizzle of good extra virgin would've taken it to an authentic level. They have happy hour all day on Sunday and most things on the menu that are only available after "4pm" can usually be made whenever, just ask!Love the beers they have on tap.
