Was it big? Yes. Was I satisfied? No. I can’t believe I’m saying this, but there was not enough ice-cream. No, two big scoops of it was still not enough to last me through the huge brick of chocolate cake. I was left with chunks of cake without any ice-cream left, which was bad since the cake was rather dry. But yes I finished it anyway.
Also, the layers of dense chocolate cream in between was slightly too dense. It was as if it came out of an overly cold fridge. I do love rich, dense cream, as well as light, puffy, whipped cream, but not so dense that it borders on being hard.
And speaking of the whipped cream, it lacked richness, and I think even Starbucks gives creamier cream.
I also craved more cookie crumbs. Look at that - a craving on top of an unsatisfied craving. Hooray.
But on the whole, it was fun to eat. But how can it not be? I’m 158 cm and had in front of me, all to myself, a tallcake that was literally tall and rose above my head. And when your sweet tooth has been yelling for attention, anything sweet would taste good.
It was just a shame that on an objective level it really wasn’t that great.
Having demolished the last of the crumbs, I made a beeline to McDonald’s and gave in to my second craving for something salty by shoving fries into my mouth.
