It was my friend’s birthday. Since she ha slived in South America, we decided to try Rosita as it serves Latin America food.We chose Chef Special and it was indeed very enticing. Each dish was very delicious and immaculate that we enjoyed it immensely. My friend said that the dishes reminded her of the wonderful time she had when living in South America.The servicing staff were also friendly and attentive to our needs. 服務很好,空間也很舒服,兩人同桌須選一樣的菜單,很遺憾食物真的沒有驚喜,前菜清爽,但主餐份量很少,還以為是一人份,結果是兩人份🫣甜點的churros好吃,整體來說,價格稍貴。

除了時裝品牌外, 香港的Fine Dining餐廳品牌, 近年也在積極開拓它們的Second Line, 例如是Octavium的Venedia Grancaffe, Arcane的Cornerstone及Moxie, Estro的Ramato, 以及今次介紹, 來自Mono的Chef Riccardo及Ando的Chef Augustin聯手創作的Rosita, 見到他們的名字, 就知道餐廳的風格, 就是走南美及拉丁美洲Fusion路線. 餐廳裝修走泥黃木系風格, 比Mono和Ando更Raw. 菜式則由Chef Marco及其團隊負責, 除了Rosita他也有自己的Cannoli甜點生意, 畢竟他是意大利嘛! 午市套餐由四道菜的接近$500, 到五道菜的接近$800, 比起Mono和Ando便宜了一截, 但吃罷感覺相當不錯, 沒有因價就貨的揸流攤.打頭陣的開胃小食是Arepa這種南美的國民小食, 也就是粟米麵包, 和Mono內裏的夾餡不同, 這裏的相當細小, 一啖一個, 相當熱, 熱得有點燙手, 再加上外表的焦脆和粟米香味, 就算沒有Dipping也相當吸引. 頭盤是檸檬醃鰤魚,

打頭陣的開胃小食是Arepa這種南美的國民小食, 也就是粟米麵包, 和Mono內裏的夾餡不同, 這裏的相當細小, 一啖一個, 相當熱, 熱得有點燙手, 再加上外表的焦脆和粟米香味, 就算沒有Dipping也相當吸引. 頭盤是檸檬醃鰤魚, 帶子及八爪魚, 將三類魚生夾在一起, 從八爪魚的爽彈, 帶子的腍去到鰤魚的鮮嫩, 口感層層遞進, 再加上檸檬汁為主軸的凍湯, 將三者的鮮味提升, 相當Refreshing. 湯品是Winter Soup, 也是Ando的成名作外婆湯飯的變奏, 由飯變成貝殼粉, 由牛肉變成自家製香腸, 鹹鮮度比Ando的濃烈, 香腸的口感同樣令人喜歡, 肉質鬆軟, 內裡夾著相當罪惡的脂點, 添了不少油香.

主菜的豬腩肉是鹿兒島的黑毛豬, 本身的口感和肉質, 再加上部位的取材, 已有先天優勢, Chef烤肉的火候及時間控制得剛剛好, 很有油香和很夠肉嫩. 甜薯蓉也夠順滑, 上面添加的火腿更有畫龍點睛的作用. 醬汁除了有Jus, 也有克里奧爾醬, 就是檸檬辣椒洋蔥醬, 中和了整道主菜的肥膩, 也為其提供微辛的惹味. 另一道主菜是鱸魚配上青醬, 味道平實, 魚肉夠鮮, 肉質實而不老, 當然相比起來驚喜到就沒有前者那麼大, 但算是穩打穩扎之作.

甜品的海鹽牛奶雪糕, 加上自家炒製的爆谷, 以及上面的玉米薄脆, 吃起來口感, 對比相當不錯, 有微微的炒香, 但味道還是以雪糕為主, 沒有太多衝擊, 同樣平穩. 最後的Churros比起其他的西班牙餐廳更鬆軟, 本身甜度已夠, 但Dipping的自家製焦糖牛奶醬比一般拖肥更有黏度, 奶香更強, 令我還是忍不住一點再點呢!

Rosita is the collaboration of Mono and Andō with the leadership of Chef Marco. She provides the fushion Latin dishes with fine dining element. Overall experience is nice. The apperizier, soup, grilled kurobuta pork belly and churros are nice and taste stronger than other restaurants. The second line of fine dining restaurant becomes a trend in HK that allows us to taste the great work with lower price. It is not bad at all.

chef founders of Ando & Mono✨food was surprisingly good🥰 especially the lobster stew a d chicken rice🥰 tbh the chicken wasnt that juicy but the seasoning and flavoring brought the whole dish to the next level🥰 trust me you’d love it if you like strong flavored food🫢 avocado was added to the winter soup to give extra creaminess 👍🏻 pasta in lobster stew was very al dente😋 last but not least the churros was so far the best that i hv had in hk! (Tho still couldnt compare to those i had in spain🤣)

Here’s what we had.
Arepa- gluten free bread made with cornflour. In Latin America, arepa is usually filled with stuffing like cheese, black beans, shredded pork etc. Ours were bite-sized and came with avocado butter and sofrito (sauce with a variety of peppers, garlic, onion and herbs etc). I liked.

Ceviche of hamachi and octopus in passionfruit sauce. Loved the refreshingly tangy notes of the sauce.

A very hearty and homey winter soup with peas, avocado, nom-spicy chorizo from Argentina, dumplings etc. Loved it.

Stew of Boston lobster with pasta, cooked with tomato, radish, carrots etc. PickyEater thought the portion was too heavy; I found it ok.

Male Ping yuen chicken. Breast was filled with a layer of chicken mousse. Topped with spinach purée. Not bad. Skin was very crispy. PickyEater didn’t like the sauce, saying it was too thick and heavy. I found it ok tho. PickyEater wasn’t a fan of Ping yuen chicken as the fat content was too low. Well, Zest and Neighborhood also like to use it..

Churros with dulce de leche. Not as crispy as I had hoped- the middle was soft and a bit soggy. Server explained that the team had experimented with various degrees of crispiness and decided that softer was better as they didn’t want it to be too oily.

In summary: chefs did a great job in showcasing Latin American cuisine. Flavors were good, even for non-spicy eaters like me. Excellent service and comfortable surroundings.
