有什麼比在一個陰雨天和最好的朋友一起享受美味的pizza更愜意的事嗎?☺️有人告訴我,星期四是一週最好的一天;喝醉之後,星期五可以 hea 一 hea,然後週末就到了!今天(星期四),我和最好的朋友 —— 都說好了要為了數不清的船趴練出好身材 —— 不約而同地想到要來 Motorino 吃 pizza。我還沒有去過義大利,但是在 Motorino 吃pizza 讓我想要再快一點去義大利。😋 我們請非常nice的manager把他這次推薦的soppressata piccante 改成番茄sauce —— 番茄加 cheese 點亮了這個星期四夜晚!P.S. 如果沒有 Motorino,我應該可以快一點瘦下來吧!😝

以中環自動扶手電梯接上星期五晚Soho區的熱鬧,今次與幾位女生朋友的晚餐定在窄巷中的Pizza店。Pizza這等Comfort之物,隔不久總要吃上一回,想對自己好一點的話,可以選擇高質少少的正宗Pizza,Motorino便是其一。Caesar Salad先上一份凱撒沙律點醒味覺,平時常用的羅馬生菜變了火箭菜Arugula,混合清新的啤梨薄片,更合我心意。灑上滿滿的巴馬臣芝士碎、煙肉粒和麵包脆脆,口感複雜但滿足,加入蒜味強勁的鯷魚沙律醬汁更是惹味。Chicken Wings以檸檬酸味為主調的烤雞全翼亦算為一客不錯的小食,不過就要吃得豪邁一點。個人認為雞翼本身調味可以再加強,若多焗幾分鐘應該更香脆。Meatball第一份pizza是肉丸作配料,下方的是正宗的蕃茄加Mozzarella芝士底,茄汁是用原個蕃茄製作,因此整體吃起來味道較淡。主點在於Pizza麵糰,煙韌焦脆,正正是拿玻里style。意大利拿玻里薄餅是非物質文化遺產,而薄餅師傅對其正宗做法更有非一般的執著,材料、麵糰、烤焗等方面是有一套指引,讓我想起日前看的一套美食記錄片 “Ugly Delicious”。Cremini Mus

Caesar Salad
先上一份凱撒沙律點醒味覺,平時常用的羅馬生菜變了火箭菜Arugula,混合清新的啤梨薄片,更合我心意。灑上滿滿的巴馬臣芝士碎、煙肉粒和麵包脆脆,口感複雜但滿足,加入蒜味強勁的鯷魚沙律醬汁更是惹味。

Chicken Wings
以檸檬酸味為主調的烤雞全翼亦算為一客不錯的小食,不過就要吃得豪邁一點。個人認為雞翼本身調味可以再加強,若多焗幾分鐘應該更香脆。

第一份pizza是肉丸作配料,下方的是正宗的蕃茄加Mozzarella芝士底,茄汁是用原個蕃茄製作,因此整體吃起來味道較淡。主點在於Pizza麵糰,煙韌焦脆,正正是拿玻里style。意大利拿玻里薄餅是非物質文化遺產,而薄餅師傅對其正宗做法更有非一般的執著,材料、麵糰、烤焗等方面是有一套指引,讓我想起日前看的一套美食記錄片 “Ugly Delicious”。

Cremini Mushroom
另一份pizza則以蘑菇作主角,另外有意大利香腸粒點綴,只有芝士作底。這個比起Meatball pizza的味道更淡,大家都不太滿意,還另外找侍應要來黑椒加味。

Tiramisu/Newyork Cheesecake/Torta al ciocolatto
幾個女生圍在一起,哪能沒有甜品,於是一口氣便點了三款。Tiramisu的層次分明,不過整體偏甜,特別是吸了咖啡糖漿的那層; Newyork cheesecake表現得最好,質感軟滑、味道平衡,還有酸甜酸甜的藍莓醬中和膩感;Torta al ciocolatto就是朱古力蛋糕,旁邊有雲呢拿醬配合,多層朱古力濃郁而實在,來個滿足的結尾。

意想不到的是今次吃的Pizza都未能令人很滿意,主要是配料方面稍遜,反而最好的是甜品。是夜餐廳安排了較入面的位置給我們,比起出面沒那麼嘈雜,但座位及餐桌較逼,多點幾款食物已放不下。不過侍應的照顧熱情,更送我們幾shot,搭救點剛才扣的分。下次來的時候,再多給一次機會其他口味的Pizza,希望會有更好的體驗。

the pizza there is just not as good anymore, and no where near the US Motorino. We bought pizzas for take away, got there 10-15 min after we placed order (as we were instructed), and got home in 5 min after we got the pizza, and the pizza is already close to cold. I think it was not too warm to start with. The crust was soggy and doughy...and the pizza was not even cut properly (that's just pure sloppiness, if you couldn't just even bother doing a proper job in cutting your pizza). And everythin

For 150-200 per pizza, the quality is just very disappointing.  I would recommend you go to Alvy's at kennedy town instead. They makes wayyyy better pizzas, and it's cheaper there.

Disappointed with the pizza base. For each slice we had to roll it up as the base kept flopping over and (for the margarita pizza) the toppings dripped off!Which is a shame because the toppings were tasty and the outer crust was nice and crisp. I know it’s thin base pizza and the waitress said the centre is “soft” but I’ve had better thin crust pizza in HK and overseas.I would not come here again.

Motorino has been dubbed one of the best pizzerias in Hong Kong, however, my experience here the other night was a bit disappointing...We went on a Friday evening at like 6:30 and we were really surprised to find that we were the only two guests there.We ordered their signature Margherita pizza ($138) and a couple drinks.The pizza tasted ok but the most disappointing thing was that it came in cold The crust was no longer cripsy but a bit saggy instead. Came for the “best pizza in HK” and got some something like a leftover pizza... couldn’t think of something worse than that
Prolly won’t be back again.

I absolutely love the pizza here. It's simple and delicious. I always come here and order the same thing - thesoppressata picante pizza because it is absolutely out of this world. I have tried their other items but the soppressata picante pizza  gets a 5-star rating from me and I don't hand those out frequently. It is spicy, delicious and hits all the right notes, the crust is perfect and tastes fresh and wholesome. I love how piping hot the pizza it is as it comes out of the oven. My only gripe

難得星期六day off係屋企訓左成日,夜晚緊係出嚟搵啲嘢做下啦,本來係諗住去附近一間扒房食飯嘅,但係呢就全部人都遲到,之後就唯有去二間食啦。依間野本身係主打意大利餐嘅,有自己嘅明火焗爐,裝修個格調都唔差但係間鋪細左少少坐得有啲迫。今次就叫左兩度餸再加三款pizza。咁我而家逐樣講下啦。首先講講個肉丸先,其實個肉丸本身就平平無奇,我仲嫌佢豬肉氣味添,但係呢個茄汁就幾好咁就加返少少數算係過得去咁樣。第二道餸係煎雞翼。份量就有四隻雞全翼,可以比兩個壯丁食到,算係差唔多。其實個雞翼都係平平無奇同,普通出面燒烤店食到嘅雞翼差唔多,再加埋個檸檬汁其實係覺得唔夾嘅,扣左唔少分所以我勸大家都係唔好叫呢個餸啦。之後就嚟咗三個薄餅。一個係菌類嘅集會,一個係Parma ham,最後一個係水牛芝士再加茄醬。總括嚟講係個餅底比較出色,食落比較煙銀,同埋可能因為佢係用明火焗爐,所以佢個燒烤味係比較香,同埋唔會燒到個薄餅好乾。個人會比較推薦水牛芝士個款,我個人比較傳統唔係太鍾意食啲花巧嘢。

先點來一些頭盤熱身,這道肉丸鋪上橙紅的鮮茄汁,大概是小朋友的至愛!肉丸由粗幼肉碎搓成,嚼感與層次不俗,不過對香港人而言,或許有點粗嚡。而帶蕃茄碎的鮮茄汁,味鮮清新,自然而不甜,倒令我十分欣賞!

魷魚通常以炸的方式烹調,「Motorino」這個焗的別緻版,帶出不平凡的新鮮感!以蕃茄、蒜、迷迭香、番茜、酸豆、檸檬、橄㰖油、辣椒粉等味,醬汁不單惹味,更將魷魚的鮮味引出,而魷魚的新鮮度同樣值得一讚,這樣方能達到美妙無瑕的境界。雖然有點點辣,吃得小朋友有點嘶哩咕嚕,但吐舌喝冰水後仍然繼續吃,最後共吃了兩碟方才羆休!

弟弟點的八爪魚薯仔沙律同樣美麗。粉軟的薯仔配合新鮮彈牙的八爪魚,顯出柔和的味道,然而選取了酸酸豆及辣椒油提味,在平實的味道裡發現令人愛上的滋味,於是又成為一嚐再嚐的目標,one more please!

雞全翼烤得焦香,味道亦是意外的喜悅!融合檸檬汁、紫洋蔥、薄荷葉、紅辣椒的雞全翼,外層脆香、內層嫩滑多汁,大量檸檬汁的清新醒胃,加上其他配料的香氣與微辣,實在令人無法抗拒,兩份又怎會足夠,心裡在高呼三碟....三碟。

我本是水牛雞翼癡,惜坊間已沒找到合意的水牛雞翼,「Motorino」的 Chicken Wings 現已成為我的最愛了!

從菜名可能會以為 Mixed Vegetables 是沙律,實際它是烤雜菜!選取露筍、茄子、意大利青瓜、橙籠椒、南瓜、風乾蕃茄作材料,每種蔬菜均烤得爽口,保留蔬菜原有的質感和水份,再以 Parmesan 芝士點綴,是不愛沙律的朋友的最佳選擇,我們的兩碟也給全清了!

來到主角拿坡里 Pizza 的出場時間了。拿坡里 Pizza 的特色是帶有一個肥厚如水泡的外圈,中心位置較薄,與意大利北部脆薄的層底,感受完全不一樣!

打頭陣的是茄醬底的 Margherita。主料是意大利香腸、Mozzarella 芝士和 Pecorino 芝士(意大利綿羊芝士,再以羅勒配襯,譜出簡單而清新的味道!至於水泡圈的感覺如何?鬆軟帶麵香,一點累赘感也沒有,不枯乾的質感亦為受落之處,所以不太愛麵包的我吃得輕鬆!

我們一家也喜歡菇菌,女侍應推介這個小啡菇 Pizza,還要加上一隻雞蛋,菇香逼人,混合蛋黃的香潤,真的非常好吃!除了小啡菇,當然亦有其他配料佐味,例如意大利 fior di latte 芝士,Pecorino 芝士、意大利香腸、蒜、迷迭香和橄欖等!

而最後嘗試的 Pizza,則以菠菜、磨菇和起源自意大利南部的 Scamorza di latte 芝士為主體,再摻進新鮮辣椒、蒜、Pecorino 芝士等炮製。其實三款 Pizza 也不帶膩意,若要比較的話,Spinach & Scamorza Mushroom 的水份和蔬菜感為最強!

個人較喜歡 Cheese Cake,具芝香且不會太膩。

「Motorino」暫時是我嚐過最喜歡的 Pizza,要請我和老媽吃 Pizza 的話,必定要到 「Motorino」了,而且他的頭盤真的確很迷人,總體令我們相當滿意,此後一家大細又有好的開餐選址了!

Prosciutto di Parma Pizza $198 茄醬要另加錢,慷慨份量prosciutto,這個味道很好,茄醬中和番parma ham嘅咸味。這裡的pizza 批底係好似sourdough 嘅chewy 面包,我都係比較喜歡薄脆pizza 多d 。

Overall 食物質素ok和配搭幾特別,價錢有d 貴,不過因為喺soho 區所以都可以接受嘅。

見銀包近期有少少乾旱,但又要就朋友係蘇豪到食飯,所以就經朋友介紹去左一間係蘇豪上面的餐廳。Meatball pizza蕃茄醬底,上面加左芝士,basil同meatball..料都係正常味道,反而佢個批底會比較岀色,因為鋪頭入面係有個炭燒爐(意大利傳統個款)所以佢燒岀黎的pizza都會有一點點炭燒味。不過個人應為其實叫margarita都夠,因為我覺得meatball對味道作用不大,但價錢相差50蚊左右。Octopus and potato salad依個真係吾差,佢有個檸檬俾你加落去,再加上佢有少少辣,酸酸辣辣咁好開胃,同埋魷魚吾會煮得太過,好夾依個汁。Nutella marshmallow bread何其地大😱😱料就同岀面差不多,但因為佢都係係炭爐都焗過,所以有一點點炭燒味,感覺上吾會太甜,同埋佢成個包住哂全部料黎焗,吾會好似岀面個d咁乾。價錢話平其實就真係吾係話特別平,因為3個人食冇叫飲品除開都要成 $170 左右,不過佢個頭盤同甜點都surprise到我就是啦。

依個真係吾差,佢有個檸檬俾你加落去,再加上佢有少少辣,酸酸辣辣咁好開胃,同埋魷魚吾會煮得太過,好夾依個汁。

近日同朋友到Soho品嚐一間大受好評既Pizzeria Motorino。一入門口就有staff上前welcome我地將我地帶到一枱露天座位上,感覺幾特別。我們一行5人,坐底不久就有staff前來同我地介紹menu同special。我地叫左3個antipasti (Meatballs, Chicken Wings同Salumi Platter)同2個pizzas (Sopressata Picante同Prosciutto Pizza)。當中我最喜歡Sopressata Picante,一個好似Pepperoni既pizza,當中有chilli帶有少少辣。Pizza底做得好好,完全係意大利拿坡里風情。總結,這次我地無揀錯地方。服務同食物都好好,我一定會再幫襯。

Many friends recommended this pizza restaurant to me and finally i have time to have a try. We made reservation 2 days in advance for 4 people at 12:00noon but when we arrived there, we were the first group of customers and when we left the restaurant at 1:30, it still had 0% of empty seats. So dont worry if you forget to make reservation for lunch.The price for lunch set is very attractive- only $128 and with appetizers. And they do not reduce the size of pizza for lunch set. The price for lunch set is very attractive- only $128 and with appetizers. And they do not reduce the size of pizza for lunch set. For the Margherita(left side), the pizza is chewy and soft with rich tomato sauce and mozzarella on it. But I don't like the strong smell of burnt from the base. The burnt smell is even stronger than the tomato smell on top and this makes me quite disappointed. Maybe some people love this kind of pizza but i could only say this is not my cup of tea.

It's a great way to start, right, stating the obvious. Pretty much everyone loves pizza, and with good reason, it's a simple staple that just tastes great. I've spent plenty of time in cities around the world where the pizza is supposed to be the best, including Rome and New York (see post here). I found the pizza in Rome to be the best, but unfortunately, the pizza in New York was a mixed bag, ranging from completely amazing to pretty much 'meh.

Living in the Mid Levels means that I'm forever traipsing up and down the escalators (or magical anti-gravity machine) that runs from Central, right the way through Soho to Conduit Road. It's hard not to notice that there is a little slice of New York, right in the centre of Soho. Motorino Pizza is a little pizza joint that opened up in Brooklyn New York, a neighbourhood pizzeria with big ambitions. With outlets in New York, Kuala Lumpur, Singapore Hong Kong, the team from Motorino are bringing a slice of the Big Apple to Asia.

We'd zoomed up the magical anti-gravity machine dozens of times before we thought we'd stop in and see if we could be transported back to New York, and memories of our greatest holiday. Motorino is a pretty compact little restaurant and stepping through the front doors did transport us back to our time in New York. Exposed brick walls were reminiscent of little cafes in the Little Italy and were very much a feature of many of the pizzerias in NYC.

After grabbing a seat at one of the very close and cramped tables, we were given couple of menus to look over. As you'd hope, the main focus of Motorino was on pizza but there were a couple of antipasta options, but with nothing really standing out, we turned our focus to the pizza options. With around a dozen options, there are most pizza combinations that you could hope for, and next to the pizza was pretty comprehensive list of ingredients that you could add - should the mood grab you. Keeping it simple, we just ordered off the standard menu.

I'm a sad traditionalist when it comes to pizza, so it was no surprise when I ordered the Margherita, which came with a rich tomato sauce, mozzarella di bufala and a drizzle of olive oil. I was a little surprised to see that some pecorino cheese was added, a little bit of a deviation from the traditional Margherita. When delivered, the pizza looked the goods. The tri colour of the Italian flag was represented but I was a little disappointed to see how much crust was on my pizza, it was thick and there was a lot of it. My first bit of the pizza told me everything I needed to know... Good flavour from the tomato sauce and the creamy mozzarella was also good, but my pizza was soggy! The pizza dough had not been delivered crispy and it felt a little thick, which seriously detracted from the overall pizza experience.

Wondering if it was just my pizza, I checked in with SC to see how her Soppressata Piccante was going. Again, the ingredients were all there, the spicy sausage was nice and hot, just as it should be but the pizza had way too much crust and was soggy as well.

There are some pizzas that you get where they start off crisp, but due to the olive oil and tomato sauce, they go soggy. For me, this is acceptable, but the Motorino pizzas were not like that, the dough was a bit thick and just didn't go crispy at all. There are a couple of things that could have happened here, either the pizzas were not cooked long enough, or the pizza dough was a little thick. I tend think that the pizzas were not in the oven quite long enough, my mozzarella could definitely have been a little more melted.

So, our trip to Motorino was true to our trip to New York, where on the whole the pizza didn't live up to expectations. In my experience, for all the hype, NYC pizzas don't really come close to their European counterparts.

There are quite a few pizza joints in Hong Kong and we've had some pretty decent pizza here, it just turns out that Motorino is not on the list. Look, it's not terrible pizza, not by a long shot... The ingredients are all good quality and the tomato base is actually very good, but the line between great and average pizza is very thin (just like a good pizza base should be).... The perfect pizza needs all the components to come together and that includes a crispy base and it just didn't happen.

到過意大利,沒到過拿波里喜歡吃Pizza,但也沒吃過Pizza發源地拿波里Pizza香港,中環Motorino有得吃Meatball $108Meatball不說,我是來吃Pizza的Cremini Mushroom Pizza $158看資料說這黑花邊Pizza就是意大利火山石爐烤製的效果什麼400多度,烤一分鐘出爐噢,結果是很焦的一有焦味,我不可能還有本事嚐得到其他材料的味道吧另外餅底也太濕了看來這爐還需時間磨鍊呢畢竟沒吃過Authentic的Neapolitan Pizza如果是這樣子的,我比較喜歡吃港式的

一有焦味,我不可能還有本事嚐得到其他材料的味道吧
另外餅底也太濕了
看來這爐還需時間磨鍊呢

畢竟沒吃過Authentic的Neapolitan Pizza
