The dinner was a high disappointment, considering the entire experience versus the pricing. It did not match with what I paid. I got a 30% discount however I did not expect the service was being discounted as well. I’m judging by measurable facts only, not even individual feelings, so I believe I’m not being picky. Looking forward to some improvements with regard to below comments. 1. We were the only table when arrived. It was obvious that the whole service team are not mentally competent. Book
Looking forward to some improvements with regard to below comments.
1. We were the only table when arrived. It was obvious that the whole service team are not mentally competent. Booking was not ascertained nor acknowledged. During order taking, simple thing like meat doneness was suggested by me instead of inquired by server.
2. Order taker was not able to take the beverage order in the first place, which was an inclusion of the menu. He came to table again and suggested to have white wine to pair with oyster, and red wine to pair with beef. It was appreciated, but unfortunately he did not honored his commitment. I reminded him about the wine after first two courses were finished.
3. Server was unable to express apology for the mistake, but intended to pour additional portion as recovery without asking. However, didn’t ask for acceptance from customer.
4. Main course took 31 mins to serve after the soup was removed. It was obviously way too long. Beef was mediocre, which I doubt the saying of it was a Japanese beef. Personal suggestion is to source a better quality of beef from different country, with a similar cost. It’s not necessarily to highlight it as Japanese beef if it’s not at good quality.
5. There was a risotto after the main course. Even it’s wired but I respect the idea. However it seemed the servers did not found it make sense as well. They prepared a dessert spoon after the beef. He removed it before the risotto was served, and replaced it with fork and spoon.
6. After main course, the service team would like to serve us a crepe Suzette for trying. Understood they wanted to have trail since it’s new, however it took more than 33mins to be served (from setting up geuridon to finally on table). Why didn’t do the set up in advance so to minimize the waiting time?
7. In general I did not feel the professionalism, neither the sincerity to take care of customers. Service is not attentive, staffs were consistently working on something else, or just standing outside of the entrance.
8. Understood that operating in public holidays involves higher cost, maybe should consider closing
