招牌菜
Came here for lunch after doing a bit of morning yoga and before heading for work. I had walked by this place many times but always ended up going to the other restaurants in this building. Today, I decided to come here.Jaga Dining Room is a celebrity owned restaurant serving Japanese food. This celebrity is 2010 Miss Hong Kong Toby Chan. That probably explains the dozens of Polaroid photos of celebrities (I guess her friends) taped to the front of the restaurant. I had no idea who Toby Chan was and Googled her when I got home. I still have no idea who she is.The restaurant is strange. One one side it was bright and looked like a typical Western restaurant. The other side was dark and looked like a bar. I was not too keen on this set up as I found it cheap and tacky in a very MK upstairs cafe feel, minus the board games.They had a daily lunch set that cost $68 or you could choose from the other lunch sets that ranged from $88 - $300. Not expensive at all. All sets came with a salad, appetizer, chawanmushi, miso soup and dessert.As today's $68 lunch was some strange kimchi fried rice thing, I opted for another choice from their lunch menu. Teppanyaki ox tongue with rice for $98.Salad and appetizer came as soon as I placed my order. Obviously, it's been prepared ahead of time. The salad was some lettuce, a cherry tomato and some canned corn with yuzi salad dressing. It was pretty average.The appetizer was a few slices of konnayku and tofu puffs in soy sauce. It was too salty as it was just marinated in soy sauce.Miso soup came immediately as well. It was just watered down miso with some tofu puffs. Nothing to write home about.Teppanyaki ox tongue was tasty. I liked the sauce as it was sweet. The onions nicely caramelized. The sauce, I noted, had some enoki mushrooms in it as well. The tongue was soft and well grilled. However, the rice was digusting. I rarely write about the rice but this rice was horrible. It was soggy and all clumped together. Like they had added too much water to the rice in the rice cooker. It was just mushy.Daily dessert was a brown sugar pudding. This was sweet and ok. I think I just like anything pudding in texture.My chawanmushi which came with the lunch sets never came even though I enquired about it. The staff said they would look into it but ... it just never came. I gave up anyways as I was full and the food was below average, I didn't want to it anyways.The place was also noisy. It wasn't full but for some odd reason, the noise of people talking was so loud, I got kind of annoyed. Combined with the mediocre food, I won't return.

经朋友介绍来到这间Jaga Dining Room.由于是平日晚上, 不用等便有座位.里面的环境十分优雅舒适.坐得很舒服, 很适合朋友聚会.餐厅主要是食日本菜,质素十分之好啊! 是一间绝对值得推荐的餐厅.前菜之后首先来的是鱼生, 我们点的是三文鱼和帆立贝鱼生, 十分的新鲜美味, 一流的水准.之后是烤大虾, 加了特别的酱汁, 十分惹美, 虾又大又新鲜, 很正!!接著来的是焗杂菌, 味道很好.再来是烟肉焗蚝, 是我最喜欢的菜式, 蚝大大只的, 加了烟肉, 很鲜美.然后是鸡卷, 鸡肉里面酿了一些蔬菜, 做法很特别, 味道很好.最后来一个乌冬.虽然没有上面几道菜那么有特色, 但味道仍然是十分不错的.甜品是美味的芒果布甸.这一晚, 每一道菜我也十分满意, 简直回味无穷, 我会再来的!

放假又约姑姐吃午膳,中午十二时,来到登龙街一幢食肆林立的商厦,楼下已有两间食肆的代表在派宣传单张,见人客行近大厦便急急递上,非常落力,我不想他们其中一位失望,索性两间的宣传单张都接收了。入到升降机内,问问姑姐想去哪一间?她说没意见,那么,我将两张单张收在背后,然后叫她选左或选右,结果命运决定我们来了这间。也许时间尚早,我们是第一位客人,店内灯光昏暗,餐牌内所见的价目并不是很贵,一般的食品都是在$100内,拿著刚才收到的单张还可有九折。姑姐点了安格斯牛肉乌冬$88,附送沙律,黑松露蒸蛋,煮物和甜品。沙律份量很少,有生菜,粟米,车厘茄,油醋汁稀少,不太酸,因此不吃沙律酱汁的姑姐也可以吃,而我则略嫌不够汁酱。煮物也是一小碟,萝卜煮牛利,颇入味,牛利亦够腍。黑松露蒸蛋,是茶碗蒸,有鸡粒,银杏等,蒸得不错,够滑,亦有黑松露的香气。姑姐的安格斯牛肉乌冬,除了有几片牛肉外,还有冬菇,小棠菜,绍菜等,据说整体味道不错,乌冬也滑溜弹牙。我点了流香猪吉列麦片饭$78,也附送沙律,黑松露蒸蛋,煮物和咖啡。多了个味噌汤,但味道较咸,我没有喝光。猪扒是上了脆浆和麦片,炸得很脆,幸好没有千年油的讨厌味,入口松化,猪扒大部份是精瘦的,而有部份是近筋位,肉的颜色略深,烟韧有嚼劲,味道更好,识得食,一定拣这部份食。伴碟的炸粗薯条,够粉够香够热,白饭都可以,虽然不是全部都是珍珠米,软糯够热便是好。姑姐不要饮品,选了甜品,是奶冻,焦糖的味道很清甜,细细的一小杯,也可解馋。我想喝咖啡,即磨咖啡大行其道,这处也有供应,味道甘香。喜欢尝新的我,下次来的话,不用抽签,会试另外未被抽中一间。

返工食晏最头痛,有时做得辛苦都会食餐好的。我不喜欢连锁店,所以经常去找些小店或楼上铺。今天经过永光中心楼下,看到有人派传单,介绍新日式铁板烧店开张,新张期内还有八折,于是便去试食。点了一客牛肉窝和一客照烧扒。每份午餐都有沙律,味噌汤,茶碗蒸和饮料或甜品,价钱由几十元至百多元不等,其实都挺化算。味道呢,都不错,份量十足,食材也算新鲜。火窝汤底好够味,牛肉也嫩滑,配菜都多款式;照烧鸡扒就中规中矩,几十元一份算差不多的了。这家店其实是吃铁板烧的,上班午饭时间短,下次有机会要试试。

开始放圣诞假, 所以就有大把时间出去揾食。呢间系新开, 亦都系我既名单上, 见呢日有时间, 佢个Lunch 都几长时间 - 由12点到3点, 我就黎个Late Lunch 啦~因为好耐冇食过铁板烧, 而且呢到价钱仲好鬼抵, 于是我叫左个"商务自选二点铁板烧" - 拣左一个鹅肝同银鳕鱼.....都有谂过食安格斯架, 不过惊太饱, 所以先拣鱼。朋友黎到竟然冇拣铁板烧, 只系拣左个刺身+西京烧银鳕鱼。先上沙律, 个刺身上个阵有少少失望, 三文鱼<--- 实在唔想再系刺身到见到。不过个"黑松露茶碗蒸" 就冇令人失望! 好香既松露, 一小撮就已经香晒~食完呢个就真系值回票价~之后上既就当然系主菜啦, 鹅肝同银鳕鱼够大件, 好令人有满足感, 而且又煎得个面够香脆, 食铁板烧都系想咁。食食下见到大厨要整鲍鱼, 拎出黎个阵仲系郁紧架, 好新鲜呀!
