We were hoping to try something outside of the Plaza and Murray Building, and wandered past this restaurant run by a Nepalese family on a small street in Stanley. There was "indoor" and "outdoor" seating even in winter, but actually it all feels the same as there was no partition and the cool winter air filled the place. The temperature called for a hot Masala tea, which was smooth and rich in flavour. Pompadoms were served with mango chutney and mint sauce, and that got us into the mood of going through the menu and picking dishes that were not the usual suspects.The lamb salad and Mulligatawny soup were served at the same time, the salad was tasty with tender pieces of lamb, while the soup was quite light in consistency and thus not overly filling. Then came the Himalayan chicken, the fried eggplant and potato, accompanied by the lamb naan bread. The chicken was tender and beautifully seasoned, while the fragrant eggplant and potatos was a small but hearty dish brought alive by wonderful spices. The minced lamb in the naan was a slightly disturbing reddish-orange colour, but the bread itself was fine, though not as fluffy with large air pockets as some others in town. The young lad serving us was very friendly and polite and we got talking about the daggers hanging over the bar. The food was overall quite tasty, but the portions are on the small side.

WEEKDAY到赤柱一游上一次入赤柱已经是十年前的事明知赤柱食野会贵,已经SET高左个BUDGET奈何,同学却因为没有经济收入,只能AFFORD AROUND $40-50的 DINE本身打算到赤柱餐厅,点知12点松D就全场爆满拖著疲累的身子,在大街小巷左穿右插要知道在赤柱找一所附合以上BUDGET的餐厅也是一件难事殊不知,在一条小巷中找到这所餐厅起初看到MENU,,SET LUNCH要$65同学就打算走,不过我SCAN到SET LUNCH隔离个TAKE AWAY MENU只是$35大洋就折回头然后,老板娘就用那印度腔英语SELL直接问我们要什么我首先CONCERN的问题是不是只限TAKE AWAY可能当天没有人,老板娘很NICE地说提供EXCLUSIVE DISCOUNT给我们让我们以TAKE AWAY的价享受堂食(要知道,足足差了$30)印度餐厅一般给我的感觉都是暗暗的橙色的墙,一种很鲜明,很光亮的感觉与赤柱的阳光与海滩形象配合家庭式经营,父母加上女儿,由厨房到楼面一手包办餐厅内播放印度音乐,而且燃点印度香烟??所以下次想感受印度风味,佐敦或重庆大厦以外的另一选择入正题印度咖哩羊肉拼薄饼首先,印度咖哩是没有薯仔的羊肉也不错薄饼不像在TOAST BOX的飞碟般,是没有味道可能真正的印度薄饼只是一团面粉???!!!!!老板很NICE当我们吃得七七八八就跟我们闲聊很窝心的一顿饭!!下次我去赤柱,会再去探你的!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

家族式经营的小铺,妈妈女儿都招呼殷勤,满载人情味的餐厅。 1. (免费) 脆薄饼:真的很松脆香口,备有两种酱汁选择(甜酸/青加哩),咬落有种介乎吃薯片与玉米片的波波脆感觉。 2. ($4x) 海鲜菠菜汤:很鲜味,海鲜用料也很新鲜,第一次吃感觉不错。 3. ($3x) 印式宫保鸡粒(唔记得原名):唔辣,素材新鲜,味道无乜特别,食完都无印象 4. ($7x) 咖哩羊:羊肉几冧,不过分量太少,味道一般,有点不值这个价钱。5. ($25) 芝士薄饼:店员介绍,烟烟奀奀,没有预期的那样好味。6. ($20) 普通薄饼:半脆半软,比芝士薄饼更可口,与咖哩汁最匹配。餐厅并非位处大街,要经过迂回小(斜)路才可到达,星期日的晚上人流不多,不过都有三枱客,证明有口碑。

晚上兴起, 同大人到赤柱食饭. 见openrice 有间印度餐厅介绍, 就动身走去试下喇, 去到赤柱, 唔记得左间餐厅正确地址, 揾左一轮, 之后索性打个电话去该餐厅问下喇! 唔问由是可, 一问先知原来0系巴士总站对面间超级市场同咖啡店中间, 有条楼梯, 一落就见到.........真笨...是夜到达时, 已大约9时..只见店内空无一人...心想...唔系阻住人闩门下ma???之后有一位印度女侍应出迎, 一问之下原来闩11点. 心想: 都冇咁惊~~~侍应之后问我地想坐外面还是入面, 因为天气都有番咁上下热, 所以选择左店内.先说环境, 一进入店内,感觉唔错, 都几舒服~听到柔柔的印度音乐, 再看, 即喜上眉梢 ~~ 同大人讲: 哈~ 仲唔比我揾到间冇印度mv 播紧0既印度餐厅?? 之后女侍应递上餐牌, 我地就点菜喇~~~点左个烧鸡, 一个羊咖哩, 一个豆, 一个plain nan, 一个"卡斯妈lee"nan (唔识串呀), 一杯mango lassi, 一杯lemonade soda女侍应一路从旁介绍, 非常细心女侍应帮我地落完单后, 就送上d 胡椒饼呀, 咖哩角呀0个d 典型印度小食~~~块胡椒饼几好食,但冇咩特别,同其他印度餐厅差不多个咖哩角呢...之前食过d 印度餐厅, 都唔太钟意, 嫌佢地太干, 太硬净,又有青豆㖞 所以都系抱住是是但但食左佢0既心态... 殊不知~呢个正㖞, 首先够热啦, 个皮都够松脆, 入面d 咖哩薯仔唔会好干,有d 食紧日本吉列薯饼0既感觉~~~但系都有青豆.....之后女侍应又送上mango lassi 同杯lemonade soda, 大人饮mango lassi, 佢话好饮㖞咁我咪又试下law~饮左一小口, d 芒果味都几正㖞, 不过冇试真, 下次自己叫杯再试真d 先上菜前有d 时间, 阿女侍应无啦啦主动问我地点会揾到唻~之后我地三人之间,言谈甚欢,讲讲下不知不觉就上菜lu~~~先来的, 是chicken tikka, 即系个烧鸡, 喂, 正㖞, 外面够干身, 入面又竟然仲有肉汁㖞, 而且一d 都唔硬, 都几软身弹牙, 真系 "口感唔错"呀~d 菜都好好食, 索晒d 汁~下次试下佢叫攞d 洋葱去荐底先, 应该会仲好味~之后唻左个羊咖哩, 同个豆, 仲有plain nan, 即系印度薄饼, 先讲个羊咖哩, d 汁好香,唔太辣, fit 呀, 钟意辣0既朋友大可同佢讲声因为佢话有只汁,又唔记得左咩名喇, 可以好辣下, d 外国人好钟意夏天唻食, 出一身汗咁㖞~~而d 羊肉, 又确系几盏, 淋得唻都好嫩下, 又系唔干, 唔太膻, 好味道~个豆就有d似食汁, 入面煮d 豆仔, 味道都唔错,用唻点d nan 就真系一流喇~~~个"卡斯妈lee" nan 都唔错㖞, 而个plain nan 本人就略嫌唔够厚, 可以好dd食食下, 都 9点几喇, 仲见有几个外国人唻帮衬,我谂佢地系唻宵夜喇... 食饱当然要埋单啦,两个人, 埋单2百几, ok 㖞, 女侍应仲话下次唻比个9 折过我地~~~heheh正呀 自从中环阿Jay间小店结业后...都好少揾到一间咁好0既印度餐厅喇...试过印度妈妈, 虽然冇0个种亲切 但都唔错... 不过又结业lu...而其他~试过一次后都未有再去0既意欲,而呢间~~~好彩本人家住香港仔,大概会成为常客吧~~~

揾o左咁耐终于揾到间唔错o既印度餐厅 !!最喜欢吃的印度烧鸡 (好似叫chicken tikka?)入味得o黎又唔会烧到好干!有d肉汁 !赞 !!!仲有d咖哩香得o黎又唔辣~o岩哂我个怕辣o既朋友 !!食到好饱o既一餐饭 !!同埋d服务好好 !!个waitress 好有礼貌又好nice~
