Spent $6,000 for a 12 pax set last night (the Empire Hotel one).... Big Mistake... the same you can get from Maxims for $4k+...The best dishes were only so-so level, no surprise. Not worth $6k. No abalone, fish was not steamed (deep fried + stir fried) i.e. not fresh and taste sucks, some dishes were too salty while some were tasteless. Only the stewed fish belly and shark fin soup looked expensive, but the taste was far far away from those you find in Macau.Suckling pig and deep fired chicken w

Suckling pig and deep fired chicken were okay (only). The quality you find at mid-class ordinary Chinese restuarants.
Service was very slow, the whole dinner took more
than 2.5 hour, but, still, some of the dishes were already cold when they came.
The set included a bottle of red wine - with such high price and the class they package themsleves, you cannot imagine that bottle of red wine is even worse than those you can
buy from Parkin Shop for < $25 - vinegar + colors
Perhaps they wanted to imitate the high class
restuarants, the waitress asked us how do we like the foods - but too frequent, almost every time a dish was served! And the captian came in to the room several times asking the same too - very annoying!!
The room was very small, too small that some of the chairs had to lean on the walls and the waitress had to extend her arms across the guest faces to serve those that sat inside. Luckily we had only 9 pax. I don't think the room can accommodate 12 pax.
The resturant group is managed by 幟哥as they advertise. I think he should better spend more time in the kitchen than on the TV....If I remember correctly, he's from Lee Garden group and the founder of the group is well known for his high requirement on both food and staff. I wonder how he faces his 師傅.
Won't go again...
p.s. Can't accept a restuarant charging this price level has the washroom so shabby...
