Went here for lunch today with some of my friends. Again, it was the same old appetizer: salty fish and peanuts, which tasted alright.The restaurant was pretty busy and filled with people, but our table wasn't too crowded. We ordered quite a number of dim sum, such as:
siu mai, which was very delicious. 4 pieces made it a good number;
Prawn dumplings (蝦): again 4 pieces and they were fresh and delicious;
the must-try 流沙包, which was one of my favorites. The sweet custard wasn't too hot and not too sweet;
the turnip cake was sliced in 4 pieces and was pretty good, a bit wet though;
the 馬拉糕 was a traditional one and very spongy, again not too sweet;
we ordered the egg white with garlic fried rice and again, it was a two-person portion, not too much and not too little, but good enough. One good thing was that it wasn't too oily;
we also went for the pearl chicken rice again we shared it amongst ourselves. Again, the rice was tasty and not too hard;
then we ordered dessert: my friends went for the mango pudding which looked nice in a heart shape. I went for the egg white 杏仁茶 which came very quickly despite the so-called 15-minute wait. Thanks to the nice waitress!!!
All in all, I was very surprised at the price. Thought it would add up to over $100, but turns out that it just cost $94 for each of us. Guess it's good to have dim sum here. Anyway, service was also better than I thought, thanks to the nice waitress who sped up the serving of the dessert!
So all in all, it was good! Better to come with a group of people though!
