Dinner with the Shanghai clan in private room. I’ve always preferred the Club, but eager to give this another chance.First, a trio of appetizers: 酱蹄- made with pork. Not a fan of the salty taste.燻鱼- quite crispy. Didn’t like the small bones inside. 素黄雀- which was in effect 腐皮素菜卷, tied in a knot. I liked 👍🏼黄金虾球- ok. Prawns meaty. Could be a bit crispier outside.葱油饼- could also be a bit crispier outside. Filling I liked tho.火朣鸡炖翅- the broth tasted very meaty so the Chinese ham and chicken, but some said the broth at the Club was even meatier. 鸳鸯沙嘴鱼- the deep fried bits went well with the mayonnaise (not oily like fish n chips), the fried bits were fresh. (Can’t imagine this as a traditional Shanghainese dish).年糕炒蟹- not a fan of crab. Tasted one piece of 年糕:explosion of flavors. So salty and sweet at the same time. Had to take some gulps of water. Others seemed to be enjoying the crab tho. My brother loved the Chinese peas that were mixed.豆瓣苋菜- my favorite dish of the nite. 苋菜 easy to chew, Chinese beans and garlic cloves 👍🏼鸳鸯小锅贴- these 锅贴 were smaller than the usual ones. Mixture of pork and vegetarian. I preferred the vegetarian- less oily. The outside was very crispy for both. I liked. 枣泥南瓜饼- the dessert I’ve been saving my stomach for. Apparently the restaurant’s signature. 枣泥 was perfect amount of sweetness, but I could only finish half.芝麻凉卷- reminded me of 香蕉糕. Yummy.In summary; sorry, despite the excellent service, all these flavors were too strong for me. I still prefer the Club. 继续阅读

今日一行四人在苏浙沪同乡会午膳,会员朋友点菜,先来了一笼小笼包,好多汁,好味。继续上了素菜包,饀内很多菜,素食者必爱。 这是我第一次食的清炒上海鸡毛菜,很爽很甜。来了碟净牛筋,很惹味,牛筋不硬亦不靱。在这会所午膳,燻蛋是我们必选。这里肴肉是我的摰爱,味道仍然是那麽香,溶在嘴里,非常入味。最後一碟热素黄雀,比较平凡。这顿饭很开心,既能聚旧又能品尝佳肴。 继续阅读

第一次到香港苏浙沪同乡会食饭,一所只招待会员的食肆,仲要系在独立房间内,房内的隔音设备一流,一关门,大厅的声音几乎消失,只会在侍应开关门时才听到外面的声音。由於是朋友请食饭,拍板的都是朋友。他一早问定我地各人食唔食翅,因为要预订。订的是最贵的火瞳鸡炖大排翅,翅的粗度被我们称为「公仔面」,夹起来好软,金华火腿香飘散出来,鱼翅吸晒浓浓的高汤,就算金华火腿和鸡肉已成是「汤渣」,火腿的咸香油甘味继续正到爆。酱汁方肉又是极之好味,朋友介绍好啱女士食,因为骨胶原重。还有葱烧海参,啖啖海参肉,有种充斥口腔的幸福感。一道清炒虾仁又系无得顶,平时我地会觉得大虾先抵,可是这里的虾仁却是细而鲜味的,朋友介绍这才是功夫。素菜包最值得介绍的不是里面的馅,而是包的味道,正。另外点左个餐饭没有的墨鱼肉+猪肉(唔知咩名),又系十分惹味。至於松鼠桂鱼、生煎包、镇江肴肉、炸馒头等等,个人觉得味道都是属於上等味道。朋友请客,共8人晚餐,埋单大致是9千左右。 继续阅读

在中环闹市,一所只招待会员的食馆,内有大厅,亦设有几间独立房间。上海沪菜,曾经品嚐过燻鱼、烤麸、酸辣汤、嫩鸡煨面、毛豆炒蟹、松子鱼,沙锅腌笃鲜等菜式,每样味道很不错,尤其酸辣汤,材料符合汤量,不缺也不满,试过很多间的酸辣汤,这间最好。最喜欢的嫩鸡煨面,简而精,菜粒鸡肉粒伴汤面,不稀不稠。花雕醉鸡,花雕酒味香郁,但鸡偶尔也失手,有时嫩滑,有时却过火,有点靭。朋友说,沙锅腌笃鲜是上海传统菜式,是一锅面筋咸肉火腿块小棠菜的清汤,很香甜。煎小黄鱼,皮香松化,内肉嫩滑,很快被人煎皮拆骨,桌上只剩下一排鱼头梳子。要说黄松豆腐,一道很清新的菜,豆腐似一条长方块的鱼腐,配以白菓,翠肉瓜及火煺丝,清甜淡雅,跳出鸡牛羊猪鱼蟹虾中的肉体。这里食物水准很高,人均价钱约二百多块,不过不能自出自入,很可借。 继续阅读

香港好多餐厅都行会员制 呢到就系其中一间订位要会员订 埋单亦要会员签单唔收现金或信用卡真系冇会籍就食唔到某日夜晚同三个朋友黎食好西门口个姐姐好亲切咁带左我地埋位首先 我地冷盘叫左燻蛋同醉鸡燻蛋半熟得黎味道好香好浓醉鸡都好入味 鸡肉颇滑某d部位比较多骨 有d减分然後主菜叫左狮子头同埋云吞鸡狮子头弹嫩又多汁 入口即溶特登叫多左碗白饭黎食呢味餸云吞鸡无论汤同云吞都好好味汤好鲜甜 云吞皮薄馅靓最後甜品叫左酒酿丸子同高力雪糕酒酿丸子既丸子软糯酒香恰到好处balance得好好高力雪糕我系第一次食切开食既时候雪糕已经半溶状态唔系好食到冷热既感觉印象中价钱好美好(建议可以价钱收贵少少入面旧雪糕大返小小)呢到既食物价钱真系唔贵同好味今餐饭好满意下次会再黎试其他菜式 继续阅读
