两个多星期没推食评,不是没有在街外用餐,相反,外出用膳的次数比之前频密得多,但全都是在国外,对了,往外游了一转。外游回来,最不想面对的是香港那闷热翳焗的天气,真令人不爽,胃口也大减!然而,回来后最惊喜是从信箱中看到OpenRice寄来的信件,是怎样的一回事呢?原来出门前推出的食评(见 《古典 滋味,中国会 》)获编辑推介之余,还抽到了电影《生命树》的戏票两张, (从来眼见一众资深食家获此优惠时,自己就只有羡慕的份儿)对于只出了十五个食评就得编辑赏识的新人如我来说,真是一大鼓舞!在此多谢贵网的奖励,日后我会继续尽力为到过的食店留下笔迹,作出分享。是日下午又是相当炎热的一天,不想在家中厨房“焗桑拿”,就到附近的餐厅好了。杏花轩位于杏花村俱乐部内,俱乐部的一众设施如游泳池、gym room等都需成为会员才能使用,只有餐厅部份是大众也可进内的。我也很久没有到杏花轩了,记得儿时一家经常到此晚饭,贪其方便就脚,款式多而价钱亦大众化。在天与妈妈特地到来寻找儿时那份回忆,只是这此是中午而来。午餐的选择不多,有点像茶餐厅的ABC餐,我选了焗龙利猪扒饭($33),妈妈则选了红酒烩牛尾配意粉($57)。餐包不知由何时开始没有再提供,一个套餐没了餐包总觉得少了些甚么…餐汤则在下单不久便送到来,我选了罗宋汤,看起来红红的带些少油份,不像是罐头货,尝一口,除了热度十足外,还肯定是餐厅自家制的,番茄味浓郁,而汤料有十分丰富,有番茄、红萝卜、椰菜,还附有两件牛肉,十分足料,是很对办的餐汤。反观妈妈的忌廉汤,我没尝到,但闻说只是罐头货,完全被罗宋汤比下去。到了主菜,妈妈的红酒烩牛尾配意粉先来,卖相不俗而份量也不少,意粉更是以了另一只碟子呈上。意粉没有煮得过硬或过腍,虽不是al dente但也不能要求太多。牛尾煮得十分腍口,入口松化并带有肉味,肉中连著的牛筋亦茫有咬口,牛尾亦尽收红酒味,入味非常,而碗中的红酒汁和配菜,如红萝卜条和洋葱等亦很适合作助面之用。焗龙利猪扒饭热腾腾的送来,卖相和一般茶餐厅的鸳鸯饭没两样。我急不及待先盛了一大汤匙,饭面的芝士被一丝丝的拉出,看了也令人食指大动,先试了番茄汁猪扒的一面,饭粒加了蛋同炒过但没有半分油腻,且粒粒分明,配上浓浓的茄汁同吃,已很美味,煎过的猪扒带有点点雪味而且有点过薄,没太多的肉,可幸数量也不少,足有三四块。至于白汁龙利柳,又是以滋味的芝士盖面,鱼块用上雪蔵货是无可口非的,鱼味也就欠缺了,但鱼块则正和猪扒相反,是挺厚身的,吃下去有啖啖肉的感觉。餐茶要了热柠茶,就是平平无奇的以两片柠檬和lipton茶包开成。是次结帐为$90,没有加一。食物虽不算有惊喜,但在餐厅中见回看著我成长的一班侍应,又能吃回以前的味道,已叫人倍感亲切。

This is a place where you would love to go (for ladies) for breakfast or brunch. I've been to those so-called high-class cha can ting back in Beijing and their set meals, especially breakfasts, are excruciatingly expensive. Usually they cost around RMB25/23. But for here, the most expensive set meal just costs $20 for breakfast. Anyway, I went for my usual set meal, which consisted of thick toast, eggs and oatmeal porridge. It turned out to be pretty good, but of course there were some flaws. The thick toast, I have to say, was not up to standard. The butter was not fully blended with the toast and the texture of the toast was far too hard. It could've been much softer and tasted much better. For the eggs, I had to put in more salt, but when I used to tiny jar for salt, I can't help but take a picture of it. To me, the small jars were not clean at all. Again, this needs to be improved. For the oatmeal porridge, it tasted good. The portion was not too heavy and just right. The texture of the porridge was also appropriate and not too crunchy. All in all, it was a good and cheap meal. Service was quite efficient as there weren't that many people on a weekday, but during weekends, service ain't that great. I would come here again if I'm looking for a cheap breakfast. Of course, the hygiene of this place still has room for improvement.

杏花邨Club House的餐厅,几经易手,名字也曾改了很多次现时「杏花轩」的名,已经不知道是第几手了...由现时经营者,经营了数年;以平价西餐作招徕,生意也算稳定对杏花轩西餐的质素,当然不能强求,有过高的期望但如果纯粹以抵食、医肚的角度,相信绝对满足你的要求上次叫了一份杂扒餐跟意粉,杂扒有牛扒、猪扒、鸡扒、香仔、烟肉,尚有少许薯条、青菜作配搭,连埋大大份的意粉,简直是摆满一整碟......数款扒的质素只是一般,只是普通的将扒烧熟、涂上洋葱汁便上碟但以其份量,绝对是一种惊喜,也很抵食埋单计数,餐汤连餐饮,也只是四十元有找呢!
