Booked the table in advance , 3 people ..Had so much food, 2 dishes of best beef , mostly seafood, and vegetable. at least 20 dishes, I don't eat beef so can't give comment. see food are fresh , had squid ,octopus . My friend wanna a dish of squid , but the restaurant doesn't have the fresh one , so the owner keep calling friends to " borrow " and the end no one have the squid for the hotpot, so the owner asked if we can accept the " not the hot pot type " we said yes, only think I think is rip off is the bean cur sheet, so little Chicken dish was okay , I think I Can give more comment if I eat meat. I visited this place in Happy Valley before they moved. read the comment of the new location. people said is not worth it.I had the most " raw" food , normally the other serve, crab stick , all the precessed food . unhealthy food like " fish ball "This is the most healthy hot pot i had . since we order a lot of seafood so is expensive, owner offer free dessert to every one in the restaurant . a potato ginger sweet soup , Ginger is heavy . tasty

愉记 (Yu Kee) - the English translation is my own. There is oddly no English version of the name. But so what. When you think about the quintessential Hong Kong hot pot, it's about the beef, the soup base and of course, the ability to concoct your own dipping sauces with the variety of condiments they present you at the start! Soya-sauce based with a splash of vinegar, topped with thick sesame sauce, and given the added kick with freshly cut chillies and coriander and spring onions. For the brave, there is also fresh or fried garlic bits!Yu Kee may not always have the best beef but it is pretty darn good. And coupled with the best satay soup base, it is already half way there. The other special is the crunchy carp chunks - if you like fish, ask for the belly parts - smooth and crunchy at the same time. Of course, the shrimp, cuttlefish, and other freshly made meat balls are competent and tasty too. My personal thing is to have a half-and-half (no not milk). Half satay and half clear soup base like (coriander and century egg works). Enjoy the above good stuff, add other flavour enhancing or texture making ingredients like radish, fresh bean curd sheets. End off with satay-laced vermicelli (my Singapore roots) and instant Nissin noodles (my Hong Kong influence). Burp up all with a regular bottled Coca Cola .... ahhhh.... let it all settle before putting on your hot pot smelling coat and heading out to brave the cold once more. I have B-day gathering with my friends and choose Yue Kee, the taste of soup is good :"pig bone soup" and "tomato soup". We have ordered sliced beef, cuttlefish balls, 娃娃菜, 鹅肠..... The most make us impressed is the sliced beef, very fresh in taste and match with the soup also the cuttlefish balls are very 弹牙. I will try again with my mother on mother's day.

We went at the holiday seasons (party of 2) and since most restaurants at Causeway Bay were busy, and in addition to parking consideration we went to this 愉记 hot pot place. The seating was comfortable and the waiters are quite friendly (not sure if it was good or bad, they tend to talk too much). The soup was fair BUT none of the food was fresh as what one expects from a hot pot restaurant, they seem to taste like what one gets from one's freezer/supermarket. What bothered me was that we ordered average beef and the waiter asked us to get the expensive ones when ordering, and asked again when the ordering was completed. I was not angry or anything at the time and commented that if the average beef is that bad they should either remove it from the menu or tell us they are sold out. I took his advise but when the beef came they were obviously cut right from freezing iced beef and tasted like rubber when cooked. There were only 3 tables being occupied including ours at the time and the waiter came asked if the beef was okay when we tasted the first piece, I have not tried mine but my GF told him it was terrible. It is apparent that he has been waiting to see if we would give the beef a 'pass' on what they should scrape as garbage, he quickly replaced the 'expensive' rubber beef with a fair one... but then again, none of the food we ordered was good although none can be considered bad at the same time.. we ended up paying 500+ HKD for a meal that is equivalent to putting food from your own freezer into boiling water. Perhaps I should stress that we love hot pots and know what is reasonable and what is not. This one is definitely a poor one you should not visit unless you are at the Happy Valley area and just want to sit down and stink up your clothes. I hope you find this useful.PS. beef cubes they serve is equivalently bad as fat US beef, other very so-so dishes we ordered include sliced lamb, kwai-fa clams, won ton, and vegetables.
