Hotpot is our all time favorite place to go during dinner time!😂 this time, we went to a newly open restaurant called @laoguohotpot.tst. It locates in Tsim Sha Tsui and is just around 5 mins walk from MTR station. The restaurant was clean and decent. Service from the staffs were super friendly and talked us through each item on the menu with us.
A lot of you might think having dinner in a hotel will be relatively expensive but actually the price range in this Taiwanese hotpot place is totally reasonable! Not much price difference compare to your ordinary hotpot restaurants.
Since this restaurant had opened for a week, they were doing the promotion. We just have to follow their IG and FB in order to grab a free jar of wolfberry chrysanthemum tea or Roselle tea. 🫖
For the soup base, we picked a mix of 2 flavors. Half of it was soup with fish and black chicken while another half of it was pork with sour vegetable. We can taste lots of different ingredients in the broth and no MSG was added in it. It tasted really nice when we drank it. We were not thirsty after the meal too! Impressive!😛
So we had ordered a few of their signature dishes such as, spicy duck blood, chuck flap tail, homemade assorted meatballs and veggie as well. The most impressive food for us was the homemade assorted meatballs platter. It was excellent because it had included black truffle with shrimp flavors, sea urchin with squid flavor and foie gras with shrimp flavor. It served on a carousel stand which was really IG-able!📸 Of course, the Chuck Flap Tail was definitely the highlight of the meal! Dipped it into the soup for 30s, it had a strong beef flavor! Last but the least, another thing we would like to point out was the veggie! The staff told us it was cultivate by themselves!
We love this restaurant so much I going to be back soon for another meal 😋🤤
