They have a bit of a line which is actually ridiculous as they only let 4 people at a time enter the bakery. I find this pointless. Signage of what are the baked goods are in English and Chinese.
On social media, there have been photos of this matcha bolo bao with a green butter sticking out. I saw them at the bakery, but they didn't look appealing as the matcha looked like it was painted onto the butter.Matcha Cheese Tart ($25). I bought a matcha cheese tart instead. It was still toasty warm with a nice bit of caramelization on top.
Peeling it back, the gooey filling flowed out.
Tasting it? Have you ever ate chalk? This is what it felt like. The tart pastry was dry. The matcha was strong but it increased on the chalky feeling in my mouth. I almost gagged from eating this as it instantly made my mouth parched and pleading for water.Horrible tasting. Will not buy this again.
